I agree on that it’s the Scams in ICO that damaged Bitcoin. Quite a number of outsiders are affected by statements like Crypto Scam, ICO scam etc, that eventually link their thinking with Bitcoin.

If there wasn’t any scam ICO, more people could’ve got into crypto world.

I have to say that I don't see connection. How would exactly ICO's be able to "kill" Bitcoin?
I'm still convinced that Bitcoin investors are in majority of cases different than ICO investors and no matter the flood of ICO's and their influence on the market that doesn't affect that much on bitcoiners.
On the other hand big amount of scams connected with ICO will not influence the people that already are involved in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies because of their experience.

This is a really interesting post because is a possibility i didn't consider too much before.

However, certain ICOs which are not scam have behind them a really interesting project - In the form of something really useful for society or really useful for the future growth of Bitcoin and all Cryptocurrencies in general. So i believe that besides the profitability people in fact considers to fund projects  that are not scam with how much they can give away for it's cause.

You might even profit in the future - But to do it for that reason it's better to learn a lot about them first.

I don't think that crypto ICO's killing bitcoin but rather it somehow become big help for bitcoin in the way of introducing the bitcoin for new investor comers. Beside, there's no way they could kill this mother of crypto because this coin is pioneer and there are bunch of investor prefer this one since it is legit profitable.

if in my opinion you can't stop them, if there is money to be made who doesn't want to. The main thing here is to educate people to be careful when choosing the right investment.

kill, it's too loud. Rather, they try to equalize with bitcoin. This year, there have been significantly fewer successful projects. It seems to me this is the end ICO

I don't see a way a project can get participated if not through ICO. Many projects needs the investment of people for the sucess in achieving the goal of the project, though some projects managers misuse this opportunity and do whatever they like with people's money most especially when they don't reach softcap.

crypto ico will not kill bitcoin, they just become a coin that tries to achieve success in the market by offering the best concept. for crypto problems I think bitcoin is still the best choice and not easily defeated, let alone killed with new coins.

I never understood why cryptotraders and exchanges support ICO's, my reasoning is this: An ICO gets funded, then they do what, they SELL the BTC they raised for fiat and push the price dive on BTC, thus taking all those BTC out of the trade environment, anyone thinking that an ICO would reinvest into the exchange is naive. This hurts everyone, even the exchanges. You might say "Well the exchanges get fee's on ico" well that is true, but they are losing all future potential fee's on those coins, if they had continued trade on the market.

So in Short - ICO's are killing Bitcoin and CryptoMarkets.

I dont think ICOs will killing bitcoin. If whole cryptocurrency market growing bigger, bitcoin still growing more. More coin and token created make competition in market and i am believe investor still choosing bitcoin as their investment

This is the law of the market, who is the best and he/she won. So we can't blame the ICO over if bitcoin will die. But I believe bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that is not easy to be destroyed because it has many advantages from the other coin.

I don’t agree with you!
As the earliest initial digital cryptocurrency, Bitcoin has the same settlement status as US dollar in this field. Almost all new tokens in the ICO process support the exchange of bitcoins for new tokens. In the process, the new token is given value from other currencies and becomes a new valued currency (equivalent to a company's stock), but it does not have a negative impact on Bitcoin.

I don't agree with you. Even bitcoin price is not so good now, people choose to invest to ICO's project but it doesn't mean that people no longer care about bitcoin. There is no one or organization can kill bitcoin

I think that is not true, because in my opinion it all depends on the demand and is hindered from the circulation of ico, I actually catch the positive side of the many ico who will buy bitcoin is used to buy ico and become a participant from ico who can provide benefits and make bitcoin prices rise.

Of course ICO's wasn't killing Bitcoin, instead ico gives opportunity to anyone who want to earn bitcoin thru their coins once it has a value after their running project. Even recently, lots of ico'c ended up into scam project but still there is still good ico out there, just do some research first before joining in as investors or participate in their ico campaign.

In my opinion, carrying out a qualitative ICO has now become something far away.  Not every ICO will be honest.  But not all of them are scammers.  There are companies that are taken seriously.  I think it's just necessary to choose the right company.

All alts have zero long term value. To date I have seen no alt that can give any real feature that bitcoin does not provide

Better to push two global currencies at once to not freak the Christians out about a single currency dominating the world.

The alt must bring in new people and not pull people away from the Bitcoin mining network.  The way it is distributed has to be different than BTC, but not sacrifice security or pull away from the network.

Hense my support.

I agree here. Alts definitely make people distract themselves and their investments and in some cases make them believe an alt can really replace Bitcoin, which is a fruitless tail hunt.

The way Bitcoin and Blockchain were developed is the base over which we need to build new technologies, taking security so seriously like Blockchain technology takes and even more.

I like the coins that back up a good project though, sometimes it is a good idea. But seem more like the game coins to play in the gaming machines precisely. The fact that some people think any of them can replace Bitcoin is taking it to an unintended level. And even if a developer intends them to do that, they will profit if they do a good marketing campaign, but the reality is that won't happen.
