I tried logging into my account and it won't let me in. I think my password has been changed by someone or hacked. Last time I was able to log in was last night when I bought some BTC and lost it on Directbet, went to sleep and went out with friends to the bar today to watch the Eagles game and come back and I can't log in. Someone changed my password. Aftering thinking about it, I realized one of the top casino owners must have logged into my account - I used to same password on all major trusted casino sites and username so one of them must have gotten into my account. How do I recover account? PLEASE DO NOT TRADE WITH ALABAMAFAN1 if the account contacts you.

How do I get access back into my account? Do I have to contact an admin or moderator or what??

I have forwarded this message to mods, you will need to chat to them about claiming your account is really from you.

Also, this needs to be moved to scam accusations.

Also, DON'T use same passwords anywhere else! lesson learned!

Have someone on the default trust list leave negative feedback. Someone will probably get scammed if they haven't already.

Password was changed. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=162265 "This user changed his/her password recently."

According to this thread/post the user Propulsion was trading with this person (ironically from a thread that originated in the currency exchange section - it not in the alt coin marketplace section - the same section you originally posted this in). He was also trying to buy trust.

Uh oh, it looks like whoever did hack the account actually was doing trades...shit. Not good. Xetsr can you please leave negative trust for the account? It looks like you are on default trust.

OP, alert on your topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=842627.0;topicseen

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

I'll leave negative feedback but it probably won't matter because I'm not on the default list. Might want to PM tomatocage or Vod and ask them to leave negative trust.

Another user PM me and said they sent 0.50 to the account as requested earlier today. Trying to get a hold of a mod or admin to get the info needed here such as IP addresses and locations and such. I'm really sorry here, going to try and find out who did this and get all your funds back.

Did you happen to use tor?

Seems alot of people are getting hacked lately that use tor.

Insane if a big btc casino did this.

Maybe brute force?

It appears that one or more tor exit nodes are exploiting the POODLE vulnerability as well as other potential zero day attacks on tor users.

The OP claims to think that a "major" casino had logged into his account. He claims that he used the same password on the "trusted" casino sites. I would be interested to see if the OP is able to provide the names of the casinos that he has accounts with as well as the password to his account to a trusted member so they can check if he actually was using the same password.
Maybe brute force?
IMO this is unlikely. Although the forum does not have an official policy (that I know about) on locking users out after "x" attempts, I would think that an account would get locked out after a certain number of attempts, plus there is the fact that you must wait 45 seconds between login attempts

I think im calling bs on this one now, looking into his feedback from a good bit ago he is accused of being KingOfSports.

I would be suprised if a major casino hacked his account and tried to scam people.

Seems a bit small time for a casino.

Maybe if it was a sure thing 100BTC wallet but not social enginering work.

Thats like Frank Rosenthal from Casino sending out Nigerian lottery emails.

MGK- -4: -1 / +0(0)   2014-04-14   0.00000000   Reference   Read reference link to scam proof. He has scammed multiple people under multiple screen names and real name is Ian Marden lives in Maryland.

I would avoid this member at all cost, better to be safe dealing with someone else, he is capable of charge backs and stealing bitcoins. He will offer escrow saying he is trustworthy and we are trolls leaving him negative feedback. Just READ the reference thread yourself and it will be obvious this guy SCAMS!

dbanga85 19: -0 / +12(12)   2014-04-08   0.00000000      great trade with this awesome trader.. Thank you

uvwvj 0: -0 / +0(0)   2014-04-03   0.00000000   Reference   One of KingofSports Alts - told me so in Just-Dice chat, states he would be willing to bet he is not, but he has done face to face with others who would know him. Alts include KOS & Imarden.

BigBitz 1: -0 / +1(1)   2014-04-01   2.00000000      Scammer - KingOfSports. Owes me 2BTC.

I traded with him yesterday , quick and easy feedback seemed fine.

Today well I traded again before people knew the account was hacked .

Lost .5

Be nice to get some back...

Using same names and passwords on Btc sites is kinda irresponsible , especially if your buyng / selling

If he's pretending that it was hacked and try's to chargeback my first trade I know his personal details  but I believe he was careless and was hijacked

If you have his name and info I imagine with a bit of sluething you could find out if the two are the same. This could be very well why he is playing the I got ahcked card... because some people have his info.

I will see if I can dig up the other acct.

This is one more reason why you should use escrow. Escrow will prevent you from getting scammed like this.

Also from the looks of it the OP is lying about his account getting hacked (but rather made such claim because they were able to get you to trade without escrow).

Careless on your end alabama...you should cover everyone who lost funds here.

I've never been hacked before and I figured the sites I used those passcodes on were trusted.  I am still waiting to hear from a mod or admin on help for this matter. I'm hoping we can figure out something for this like where the IPs came from so maybe I can see which admin of site or a player or something knows. I checked my email and it got hacked as well. Trying to get that sorted as well as a couple other non-BTC related accounts that also had passwords changed. Whoever did this - I hate you, why me?

To the user who mentioned TOR, I have used TOR once in the past week but I honestly doubt that was how they got it cause it was 3-5 days I did it, if they accessed it thru TOR then why not do it the first day they knew my passcode a couple days ago?

To answer Slipage, you won't get a chargeback as 1) i dont chargeback payments 2) you have my info as do everyone else i trade with so it wouldnt be in my best interest to do such a thing even if i was a person of that negative nature.

Will try to think of something to do here to help besides obviously try to chase down the hacker. I personally can't afford to payout everyone affected but will try to think of something. Hopefully no one else got affected by this hacker I hope.
