There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

It amazes me that newbies don't bother to read stickied topics that say "NEWBIE README"

Yes, fantastic! Glad to be a member I spent the better part of the day trying to figure out how to get access.  I thought about joining a little while ago and the main reason I wanted to join today is I saw how many bTC scammers are out there and we created an awesome place to post scam artists. I think this forum would make a great place to discuss everything related to bitcoin but my main goal is to stop scammers and bitcointalk.org inspired me to create http://bitcoinscammers.com. Well I hope everyone accepts me!

Technically, a reply IS a post but I hadn't really thought about that until you posed the question... I'll tell you in a minute. Cheesy
