Just to confirm, dead here too since yesterday.  Tried all 3 ports listed for Antpool and no good.  Showing "Socket connect failed: Connection refused" here but I can mine on other pools just fine.  3 emails in to 3 different addresses at Bitmain and only an autoreply saying volume is high and it might take a while.

Try mining at a pool where they'll actually help you out (and pay you more) Smiley

Mine at a pool that gives transaction fees to the miners...

Point your hash anywhere except Antpool!

dont listen to anyone saying Antpool has better earnings.

I have 3 S9s and pointed 1 at antpool, btc.com and viabtc.

antpool earned least out of the 3. This is because THEY KEEP TX FEES.

See last 5 blocks for example:

Height   Relayed By   Reward
500,406   BTC.TOP      23.06844858 BTC
500,405   BTC.TOP           21.57133835 BTC
500,404   BitClub           21.15969094 BTC
500,403   AntPool           22.43700609 BTC
500,402   BTC.TOP           22.84704763 BTC

If you do that math, you can see that tx fees are almost the same as the 12.5 BTC payout per block.

Why do you want to perform work for them and have them keep almost 50% of the BTC rewards just to themselves? Leaving you with the rest to split among miners?

Yesss....well...that's why I said thank you for the people telling me to change and that I am trying the other pools as we speak...but still, thank you for breaking down the numbers.  Sometimes nothing feels so good as walking away...and with that...

I am not able to use Antpool, whether I try with my S9, S7, or L3+.  I am mining just fine elsewhere though.  I have never had this problem before.  Weird.

Out of the gate, I had the exact same issue. Proper settings, but my hashing rate never registered on their dashboard. And this is not to contrary on the Antpool, thread, "the other LTC pool" worked immediately, so I've obviously had no reason to switch back. Seeing this post though will drive me to find out why know though....

oztusk...0.005ish for 1 day, 2 S9's.  which is looking higher than the last 8 out of 10 days I've had on Antpool before jumping ship.  Their FPPS seems to have done the trick...Still no news from Antpool's support either...(tip o' the hat to kano re:"...a pool that will help you out..."

Come join us on Kano's pool.

Slush is rather huge.  Also expensive.  He also doesn't post in the forum.

Kano is small.  We can use more hashpower.  A LOT more hashpower. Smiley

I mine at Kano's Pool because it pays the best and is completely transparent!  Come join me!

Just a follow-up, Antpool is working for me again.  I'm sure you all are happy... Shocked

I have been looking for an alternative to Antpool as you all suggested, but I am mining BTC cash right now, and I don't see anything for that.  I have used Slush way back in the day (with my sapphire 6880s!) and they were steady.  I am also mining scrypt multi-pool at mining-dutch but that doesn't seem to pay as well as I expected.  I get more from LTC at Antpool.

hey  what the fuck are you doing at this pool?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2634505.0

study this math  and understand only mentally ill people that want to toss away their money should mine here.

We are witnessing an attack on the very fabric of BTC  via fee manipulation by ? I do not know whom but I have clearly laid out a method to attack BTC via fee manipulation  .

So  for just a week  mine at a smaller pool.

and read my thread.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jihan Wu and/or Roger Ver are behind an attack to congest the btc network.

They just love their Bcash, and would like to replace Btc with Bcash.

No, you are mining the altcoin called BitcoinCasH aka BCH. You are NOT mining BTC nor supporting the BTC blockchain.
Don't even get into why only Bitmain and friends keep trying to call it BCC which is an old and different altcoin...

The only value to BCH is when you:
a. use it to buy miners from the folks behind BCH - Bitmain
or
b. Sell it for fiat
or
c. Paying a fee to do it, convert BCH to BTC so you can spend real BTC at Canaan's distributors to buy Avalons,  FrozenCPU for all kinds of PC toys, Overstock.com, eGift, Newegg, and a myriad of other places to purchase all sorts of goods rather than just Bitmain's miners....

Thanks for the info guys.  As I said earlier, I am looking for an alternative, but everywhere I go I am mining much less than I was at Antpool.  I am mining at kano's right now, but not looking forward to the expected wait to crack a block to see what I think.  Since kano is sharing transaction fees, how much have the miners been getting per block?  Or another way, how much has a Terahash been earning?
