  > 2) Can you provide any actual pictures of your miners instead of just computer renderings?

I am forwarding your request to our tech guys and hopefully they will be able to come up with something to make you a little more assured.

 Thanks.

now we wait... 2015 isn't too far away.

wait for what? Even if they have pics of 4U box, that does not mean shit. DO NOT PAY WITH BTC!

evidently, you need a lesson in sarcasm

With a unit weight of 11kg, shipping will likely be more. 4U size too.

Shipping cost looks to be zero, I have just performed a checkout.

Did you get the miners?

So it seems like a scam. The other highly rated miner I've look at is called the 'Nexus' miner. 50 th/s @ 4500w. Seems legit! Oh yeah its also a dual sha/scrypt miner. Have a Google then get really eccited, then realize it's too good to be true!

I didn't try to communicate, just waited.

Looks like the projected .25w/GHS unit didn't materialize. They stopped pre-selling and the 6 THS unit now uses 3800w. (though with 2 1800w PSU's I'm not sure how that's done.)

Seems like another broken promise to me...

Anyone ever see anything from this company?  Website is still up, prices have changed as well as items available.  So they are at least pretending like they are selling out and making more.

Just wondering if anyone ever saw one of these miners?

Well, this was a rather short read and googling.  The only other thing I found on this was a rather weird mine layout (huge space with all miners stacked close together up against a wall - page may require a captcha solve to view): https://2ch.hk/cc/res/84695.html

Removed their listing from the Bitcoin wiki (jimmothy had done so previously, triggering a very short edit war - we'll see how this plays out).

It's completely legit, as you un-undoubtedly discovered after reading the 2-page thread you posted in.

Why even wait to see if it pans out.

Removed their listing from the Bitcoin wiki (jimmothy had done so previously, triggering a very short edit war - we'll see how this plays out).
Just to update on this - they eventually re-added their listing with a request not to remove it again in the edit summary.  I removed it again and pointed to the wiki page's Discussion page where they could engage in any meaningful communication to defuse the concerns people had about their business.
Instead they reinstated their listing and asked me to contact them in private to explain to them exactly what concerns they had to address.  As those were already previously written, and I had no interest in taking things away from public scrutiny, I added a section to the wiki page's Discussion page that explains in detail why a hardware listing may have been removed (and how to stop that from happening), and asked them to review that - and rehashed some points from this thread.
At the same time, I asked one of the participants in this thread if they ever received any further information from them, and they had not.
A while later, the Discussion page's section on Achilles Labs was deleted by them - however, they did not bother to re-add their hardware.

To me, that just adds to the pile of concerns, as it makes it look like they just don't want said concerns to be public and relatively visible in the wiki page's Discussion.  I may revisit that at a later time.  For now, anybody who looks them up should at least be able to find this thread, and not be led astray via the wiki.

Caveat emptor.

Anyone can edit the list. For the last month or two there is a bold header saying:

Be sure to research any of these vendors and machines intensely before spending any money.

Some manner of warning has been above the list since at least the very first revision in the wiki, and easily since somebody added Achilles Labs (which indeed anybody can do).  While I happily removed them (which also anybody can do), editors aren't babysitters.  "But I read it on the internet!" is self-inflicted naïvité - as is paying in BTC (without a reputable escrow), for that matter.
