thanks fcmatt, keep selling us your coins. are you done mining onces having / asics hits?

I am going to keep mining with the gpus until diff rises much higher.

I do not have an order placed for any asic product because I am not a trusting person. It is one thing to order
stuff from newegg. It is another to order from some bitcoin d00d who says he can make an asic but has nothing
to show.

I will decide on what to do once I see actual asic product in the wild that I can actually know for sure the
performance, power usage, cost, delivery time, etc... to make an informed decision.

Anything else is stupid! Gee. Let me give BFL a 6+ month interest free loan and have them tell me bull shit
stories why I do not have anything yet. Brilliant!

The block reward halving, from the perspective of a miner, is as if the difficulty were to double.  No?

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Sure, but if you heat with electricity anyway mining has no ongoing cost.

Heating a home with graphics cards costs the same as a furnace (in electricity)?   Cheesy

Furnace, yes.  Heat pumps can be more efficient, but don't work well in very low temperatures.

almost double, is better to have a reward cut that a diff double
the way i see this is diff=100% shares if you need 101% share you are unlucky if u need 99% you are luck the average of many blocks to go close to 100% but is not the same when the 100% mean 3000000 share or when means 6000000 shares

Don't worry... it will be pushed back three or four more times before anything gets released. So will BFL and the others; just you wait!

I wonder if this will actually help the market.  Putting as much time between the reward halving and ASICs coming out seems like it might be a good thing.

It will certainly delay the crash once the first ASIC batch hits. Nothing more, nothing less.
