Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I usually see crazy activity as of about 2 hours ago 7pm for me til 11pm I think its all the people getting home after doing work/play all day then buying btc for sr/hookers or whatever they use em for late at night.

yeah its bullish for no apparent reason, then right after that people start to dump them while I am sleeping so I have to stay up til like 2am to cover both coasts it sucks.

I dont think that could be something random pulled from cache on the pc, but maybe its just a glitch no clue.
