Sure, but if they were bought at >34 then selling them now would mean a loss. The Bitcoin community has grown quite a bit since last year and there's a lot of coins that were bought at current price levels. It might take a while to see another 100% price increase but to think that we'll get there eventually is not too outlandish IMHO.

Explained Bitcoin to a room full of people last night. It went from "Why would you want them, who backs them, isn't this a ponzi?" To "Where can I buy some?" in under 15 minutes. The year of Bitcoin is upon us!

At this point in the weekly cycle, people digest the fact that they missed out on the weekend dip, and need to buy before new USD arrive at the exchanges tomorrow.

Low volume means most people are happy with their positions.
So where are all the newly enlightened users?
waiting for a drop that wont come or for fiat that wont come on a sunday.

congrats. how? Let me guess, it was at a "anonymous weed user" meetup? Ah, no. That would've taken only 1 minute.

congrats. how? Let me guess, it was at a "anonymous weed user" meetup? Ah, no. That would've taken only 1 minute. LOL! Nah, it was actually a room full of mostly southern people that were over 50. As to how, I grab a piece of paper and start drawing out how it works. I tell them to stop and ask questions at any time. It's the 4th time I've done it this way, made believers every time. I used to work at Circuit City when it was still in business. If I could sell worthless Monster HDMI cables, I think I can sell worthwhile Bitcoin.

Took me 2 hours last time and plenty of beer. Made 2 believers, though.

More or less, yeah. I don't get into the nitty gritty with the mathematics, I simply explain what incentivizes miners, how miners secure the network, and how the network functions overall. Maybe it took 20-25 minutes, it felt like 15. I'll time it should it happen again. When I explained it to a CS student a few weeks ago it took triple the time, as his questions were more specific and need more in depth answers.

I really want to give a presentation on campus called "Why you're fucked and what you can do about it." If this comes to fruition I'll film it for sure!

The year of Bitcoin is upon us! Where can I buy some? i hope you told them the truth to that question... Which is no fucking where. If you are new you cant get coins anywhere in all likely hood. either that are you will pay way more than market price and work your ass off doing it.

volume has been really slow this weekend. I think a correction is long over due, i think a drop down below 30 will happen... i think it wont go much lower then that, but if it does I'll be buying! actually I'm now waiting for some crazy bad news and people starting to lose confidence to buy again. I might be waiting a long time

I leave mining out completely unless people ask about it. I do mention about how cryptography is used to ensure private communication on the Internet, and how it is used here to pass transactions "like signing a check."
