I could not find any information on the homepage of bitcoin.de. I found the registration field, but before I am registering I would like to know what I am registering for.

Does anyone know how bitcoin.de works?

In particular, I have the following questions:

  • Is it necessary to diclose the true identity for participating?
  • Does the Buying/Selling work like MtGox (i.e. I have to pay in some Euros before being able to start), or rather like BitMarket.eu (i.e. I transfer the Euros directly to the person I am buying the Bitcoins from)?
  • In the latter case: How do I know the other is a trustworthy trader?
  • Are limit orders possible for buy/sell orders? Do such limit orders expire?
  • Any fees for buying/selling BTSs?
  • Any fees for placing orders?
  • Any Fees for transferring EUR to bitcoin.de?
  • Any Fees for withdrawing EUROs from bitcoin.de?
  • Any Fees for transferring BTCs to bitcoin.de?
  • Any Fees for withdrawing BTCs from bitcoin.de?
  • Any Fees other fees?

Any URL that describes this?

Thanks for any hints.
Michael

[update: Ooops, I found the link, it is "https://www.bitcoin.de/en/faq" - I missed this small link at the bottom of the page...]

At beginning of July 2012 i made an exchange in Bitcoin.de that went wrong and lost, so far some money. Bitcoin.de recognized the problem but six days later did not refund me yet.

Bitcoin.de did not get into details but it seems to me that my exchange peer hacker them and that got way with my bitcoins and the money i send him to buy it !

When problems arise you dont have a name a phone a address …

I will post the end of this so you learn with my experience, but so far I don`t recommend them .

At the present moment they are ignoring my emails and that's the only kind support they offer.

Their last contact at 6 July refer:  “a suspicion of fraud concerning the seller (…) we will contact you as soon as possible about this matter. “  but at this point, with their ignoring behavior, they are the most  suspicious to me ! They could easily simulate a seller fraud and put my money in the pocket !

I will update it to you.

But i give you some advice in advance:

a)   Don’t trade or put big amounts of BTC in their hands.
b)   Avoid to buy from them (try not be the first to send the money).
c)   Try to avoid them if you can.

Be safe !

Hmm, now I have had a problem. Not with bitcoin.de so much as with a trader on there with a 30+ rating reversing a bank transfer on me. I have lodged a message with support. It's the weekend, so I'm prepared to give them a bit more time to reply.

https://www.bitcoin.de/en/infos#gebuehren
Marketplace fee: 1%
The commission (marketplace fee) is being shared by buyer and seller

That is, 0.5%-0.5%? If I understand correctly.

https://bitcoin-central.net/page/help/fees
Standard fee: 0.59%
Cheaper? If I understand correctly.

You better try www.multisigna.com

Do you know them? You can freely insert your orders in the MultiSigna market.
They work exclusively with multisignature addresses, the control over the transaction phases is great and the fee is 0% during beta.
