Hey guys, I haven't entered yet an ETH address to the crowdsale site for getting my Augur.
What will be the smartest thing to do?
create an address on the Augur site? create one using Mist?

One is only in Beta and not so safe and by using the site's address i can lose the ability to send my Augur's to the exchanges fast

For long as I know gatecoin is actually the only exchange trading btc/rep. Hope for some more exchages picking up rep. Due americans are not able to buy on gatecoin a huge market with huge amount of money is left outside.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish here? Do you want me to sell the batch to you below the market price or do you simply envy that some people jumped in before you? Seriously, check your facts and look at Gatecoin's trading history and tell me exactly how long ago trade at 0.017 level occured? Actually, since we started this discussion the price went even higher and is trading over 0.02, currently at 0.215 levels and growing. My offer is valid till the price hits 0.03, then I am planning to readjust it, so if you are interested in buying just PM me.

And as for reputation - as I mentioned before, I am willing to sell through official escrow. Not sure about Gatecoin's reputation, but it definitely isn't higher than creator's of the Augurs project. You send the BTC to Augur, they transfer my account to you, they release the BTC to me. That's the procedure people have been using for some time now, it protects both buyer and seller. Only problem has been that accounts are becoming more and more expensive and it is not possible to split them, so most people are selling really insanely expensive accounts. Mine is not as big, it is worth over 10 BTC.

Quick update as I didn't see it posted anywhere on this forum.

We released the Augur Beta today, you can check it out at Augur.net and our blog post with some information on the beta is at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=860629.0.

The other cool thing that happened today was our partnership with Microsoft. Augur is going to be available on Microsoft Azure's Blockchain as a Service offering, Microsoft announced this (and were cool enough to give the beta a huge plug) earlier today, check the announcement out https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/azure-blockchain-update-6/.

Finally, if anyone has issues with the beta, please just use the Feedback tab on the UI to contact us directly, this will enable us to answer any issues you may have.

Is there any proof they really have REP to trade? Or are they just trading air? For me, the only reason not to buy REP is because of this uncertainty.

And if they have real REP, wouldn't price just crash when other exchanges add REP (and more REP hits the market) because right now there's only a small amount to trade with, making it scarce?

Gatecoin has real REP as real as anyone who bought in the crowd sale, they got their "big traders" to pool their pre sales Tokens, Gatecoin is well established and highly regarded, so its safe to say they will only allow  the number of rep coins that can be acocunted for (no doubt the traders sent proof, like a screen shot of final amount).

Regarding the price, its the first DaPP on the Ethereum Blockchain, so will moon, make no mistake about that, the pumpers behind the Eth and Factom pump are well into REP.  So $10 a coin could some very cheap a few months after launch.

Also i bought 5btc worth of rep on gatecoin at $6 sold for $9 each. Its real trading, real prices.

Once rep does officially launch, Gatecoin will then officially "swap" for the released tokens.


I would simply sign up to Gatecoin and see for yourself , their customer service is second to none in crypto, but hte charts are for more advanced users.

Some think that price is going crazy but it's not. At current price 0.28 BTC per REP the marketcap is lower than Litecoin's. The ETH market cap currently is about 2M BTC and there's might be more to grow. So even 0.1 BTC per REP is not the limit.

What we have here is just the beginning of a wonderful life changing startup business. Due to limited 11 billion reps and a future so bright noone cant even imagine price will be in tremendously higher spaces once the beta goes final. Someone might can say, a once in a lifetime chance.
