To be honest, I am loathe to read the altcoin announcements subforum. It's totally unreadable, and filled with so many scamcoins. I usually stick with coins that are entering the hype stage (meaning I don't get in at the bottom) or get tips from my friends who are more in touch with all things altcoins. It's a jungle out there -- really easy to get scammed in altcoins. Plenty of unethical devs and go-nowhere projects in that space.

that's correct it is really now to tell which project can grow big as many alt that has been develop w/out real plans and project at the end of the day it become pump and dump project and it dies after several weeks or month, the best thing to do is make some research and try to analyze which is the project that have a future goal then invest.

I experimented a bit with monero in poloniex, it is just luck. You can analyze a bit but there are too much dump and pump that trades are trying.
The price increase fast and decrease faster than you think, but in low volumes i always had little profit.

Daytraders don't have a lot of time, which is why they buy and sell, even if it comes with a cost.
For them it's about getting as much btc at the end of the day. Not btc held in altcoins, but btc to spend on the next altcoin

I prefer day trading also, even though I have to pay transaction fees, I feel safer when I have to buy an altcoin and sell it immediately if I have the profit. The situation of pump and dump is rampant in trading altcoin so we'll never know when they will pump or dump a certain altcoin so what I do is that when I see an altcoin that has a low price using Moving Average, I buy it and then calculate how much would be the breakeven price for that and then set my target price. Even if it's not so high, I will estimate that it will be hit after a few hours if I will be lucky and then when the target price is hit, I'll proceed to the next altcoin.

I think when a new coins comes in , we should invest in it , as the price is low at the start. After some time when you see the pump in the coin, you can sell it and gain profit.
Thats my trading strategy these days and 90% of the time i got profit from this.

For some reason, i have never liked long term trading.
Im more into daily trading, i prefer to hold my positions as short as possible, im mainly scalping on forex.

Just don't buy on pumps. Buy low, sell high.., sadly a lot of traders do it the other way..

I strongly follow Warren Buffett’s rules of trading. First one is ‘Never lose your capital’ and second one is ‘Never forget rule no 1’.

I diversify my investment in various categories and 30% to 40% of my investments are allotted for trading purpose. I have no experience in trading thus I am doing it in very safe manner, and I focus on potentials of trade options (based on my research) and compare it with current prices and If I could find any positive difference for trading then I go with that trade option. Highs / Lows are technical concepts, I like to work in fundamentals.

here i am using the idea of holding money in my local currency in bank account wallet instead of holding btc . i usually hold small amount of btc , so when the prices goes down then no big effects me with change of price .

i think you are afraid that the btc rate will mever raise . here you are right with down of $2 with every $1 loss . but here it should be noticed that price rate of btc goes down not the btc amount got down .so be cool .
and my stergy of trading is to buy daily and sell at the same day . this will never result in loss .

that's a basic trading strategy, and im do it too, buying at bottom line waiting 1-2days for next event then sell it.
currently im keep buying ethereum classic the next event http://www.undevcon2.com/ maybe make ethereum classic rising again

Good thing you share it, although that is just a basic strategy but when you are comfortable using the method and it gives you good result, you do not need to change it but stick with it until it is not already profitable for you.

Lol that is the goal of people in trading,  it is easier said than done, with  that as goal, you can then apply severall strartegy to make your goal possible.  So researching and reading trollbox and doing the opposite sometimes work it worked for me several times LOL.  But well sometimes i messed up lol.

Good thing you share it, although that is just a basic strategy but when you are comfortable using the method and it gives you good result, you do not need to change it but stick with it until it is not already profitable for you.

Its profitable if you alraedy have a good set of tier 1 tier 2 and soon you can get more large amount of profit.. bitcoin price is not stable every time the price goes down or increase you can gain a profit..
