You sound confident again Dooglus. I am honestly starting to think you might be behind these shady dice sites. You guys notice how Dooglus promoted 2 dice sites and then eventually they went under. Hm...Safe Dice a new unknown site and now Dooglus seemingly is standing up for another site and sounds like taking sides when he promised that he wouldn't support ANOTHER dice site. If this site goes away, I honestly would judge Dooglus. Its the perfect scheme, Dooglus the most trusted can create as many sites as he wants, pump them then run...to continue his addiction to gaming. Like me, Dooglus you are addicted. You aren't addicted to the need to win, but the action. When you were a casino operator you almost never posted or tried other sites. Once Just-dice shut down you've been playing on new sites all the time...

I'm not confident at all. I have no idea how safe "safedice" is - and neither do you. I'm not taking sides. I do think their 0.5% edge for low bets is a novel idea, and possibly a great one. But time will tell.

I'm not sure how to address your "all scam sites are doog feeding his gambling addiction" theory, I'm not sure how to address that. JD was very successful for me. I don't need to scam anyone in order to bet. Since closing JD I've played on most of the new dice sites to varying degrees. I've won on most of them too. A few weeks back I lost 29 (?) BTC on PrimeDice, but am still at a net positive playing on dice sites. Since that PD loss I've barely played anywhere.

Stop promoting sites. You've gone 0/2 and I'm tired of the blatant uninformed support of new sites done by you just from a good idea. Do we have their ID? Do we know who they are? Are they a trusted user here? NO to all of those questions. So I don't care if they have a million dollar ID, they cannot be trusted. However, you know that your trust is seen as a vouch in a way for these sites so stop abusing that and stay neutral.

I'm not promoting anything. People really shouldn't see that fact that I report site bugs to these guys and play on their site as any kind of a "vouch" for them. I'm just a guy who was trusted with 60k BTC for a while and didn't steal it. That doesn't make me an expert on scam detection. It doesn't make me able to "vouch" for people I don't know. That should be obvious.

As before, I'm nothing to do with this site. I've been playing on this site more than the others because it has a lower house edge, and because it's new to me. The balance I showed was the 0.1 BTC (plus winnings) they tipped me for the bugs I reported by the way.

I like the design, I like the innovative variable house edge, and that's about it.

I'm interested in dice sites - I was before I launched JD and I still am now. People shouldn't take my interest as any kind of endorsement. I have no idea who runs the site, and apparently that's the way they want to keep it.

They have offered to let me hold the coins, and possibly the site seeds too, but I don't want to get into that - it seems like a disaster waiting to happen (I really ought to reply to their PM sometime telling them that).

So like with anything BTC, use your own judgement. I've no idea whether these guys are trustworthy - as far as I know they have no web of trust presence and so no reason that anyone should trust them. I like the site they made, but maybe it will steal all your coins. Buyer beware!

Shutting down investments was stupid as hell. The only benefit to using your site if there is a variable edge is if the bankroll is enough to which you can bet up to / to win 20 BTC per roll and have an edge of 1% or less. The current leader is PrimeDice which offers 1% house edge fixed and offers ability to win up to 20 BTC per roll. Thus, the variable edge doesn't matter with your site unless you build a big enough bankroll because anyone who wants to bet a lot is simply going to go a more trusted site that offers higher payouts.

People are understandably suspicious of "yet another new investment dice site" after the recent scams we have seen. Showing a willingness to downplay the "investment" side of their site may be a good move in terms of building trust. It suggests that they aren't all about building a big bankroll to steal, and was probably a good move for them at this point.

The benefit of using safedice over other dice sites is that their house edge is lower if you aim to win 0.5% of their bankroll or less. Most dice players make those kinds of bets all the time. Bigger bets are relatively rare, and so for the average player safedice's odds are significantly better than the competitions.

PrimeDice's limit is a 20 BTC payout, so that's a 10 BTC profit at 2x. bitdice.me has something like a 40 BTC max profit and do is the "current leader" if your ordering by max profit. I think safedice's variable house edge is quite clever. The low house edge could attract players who otherwise would play somewhere else, and as they increase their stakes maybe they'll stay because the like the design, or just because of inertia.

No, we don’t have any past relation with Doog, if that is what you asked. And because we are the only one knows about this other that Doog, now we know that Doog’s intention is purely to help the community. All of his actions are based on his objective interest as he doesn’t have any incentive to help us (except a relatively small tip that we gave him because he helps us to resolve few bugs in the site  , we want more quality dice sites, don’t we?).

About the previous cases, we think he did try his best. In the end with or without him there will be dice sites and people will keep on playing and investing. He did helped to select which one is good "in term of technical" from his expert judgement in this sector.

No, I think that's right - I was trying to win more than 0.5% of the bankroll so the house edge was over 1%. The payout was a little over 2x.

If there is an error, it's that the '000084' at the end of the payout are shown in grey as if they're non-significant digits when they aren't.

My profit should have been:

They rounded down the 0.4 satoshis, which is fine by me.

Yes, the client basically trying to guess the balance based on the previous action, while the server will send the actual data periodically. This should be a rare case caused by the network lag, will look into this. Thank you for the report Doog.

Fixed, along with another update today

• Bet setting is remembered even after you closed the browser (shortcut, roll low, and win chance / payout).
• Win chance / payout "lock/sync" only switched if you change the number.
• Stats tab moved into the dicing box.
• Stats tab now shows your profit and total bets.
• Visual improvement on few buttons and links.
• Fix high bet log not updated in realtime.
• Fix chat button glitch on excessive tabbing.

When I visited your site for the first time and wanted to roll, I wasn't sure if I was rolling high or low.
It appears that a white square means low and a black square high.
It might be a good idea to make that a little more clear.

Actually I had copy/pasted something into the chat box input field, and was trying to select a part of it by dragging with the mouse. I dragged outside the input field, and that's when it went tiny. It's possible I let go of the mouse button and reclicked while dragging, because I was using a touchpad. I certainly wasn't tabbing, since I was only touching the touchpad.

I had the same problem.

A pair of radiobuttons would be better: "Roll Low" and "Roll High". Then you can click the one you want, it unselects the other one, and repeatedly clicking it has no further effect. Currently the "Roll Low" button alternates between black and white without it being very clear which is which.
