[ANN] [STV] SativaCoin TAKEOVER by Altcoin.Center - New official thread!

Dear SativaCoin community,

I hereby announce the takeover of SativaCoin by Altcoin.Center.

What this means is that Altcoin.Center will:

- Provide upgraded wallets compiled against current non-vulnerable versions of the OpenSSL library. No new functionality will be added at this point; this is just an initial "emergency" update to eliminate the risks related to the buggy versions of OpenSSL.

- Initiate the search for a developer who is able and willing to take charge of technical development of STV

- Manage the strategical planning and overall coordination of the non-technical side of Sativa development, i.e. branding, partnership deals etc.

- Generally look after the coin doing our best to give it a long, stable and prosperous life.

For starters we have already added SativaCoin to the Altcoin.Center addseed network. The network currently has four DDoS protected nodes; two in Europe, two in Northern America. More nodes are to be added shortly. The task of the nodes is to provide a permanent high availability block source for GANJA as well as other coins "protected" by us.

I thought of an idea that would work perfect for STV.

STV has no volume anymore. It's in PoS phase so not many new coins are created. If someone could get this coin added as a "Payout coin" on a multipool then people could still mine this coin. Since no one wants to sell this coin yet, the price will go up pretty fast. Hopefully an epic price rise will get a community of people together and STV can grow into real world use.

That's a very good idea! A.C will be opening a new pool soonish and your proposal could, should and will be implemented there.

STV looks pretty good right now. I asked some other multipools to add STV as a "payout option" but they wanted me to pay 0.75 BTC for that option. I would rather they take a fee from the process. It's almost like they don't realize they can be super popular if they add every bittrex coin as a payout option.

I wish someone would take multipool mining seriously and not just mine the highest paying coin. I would rather see my hashing power get used to actually be mining coins that have a future. Then pay out once those coins start succeeding later on. It's a lot of work to figure out which coin to mine for the future. If someone could specialize in this it would be one of the most popular ways to mine. It would take a team of dedicated specialists but it would be a big business.

Yesterday on Askcoin Exchange we were 817th on the voting list with 0 votes and now we have risen to 87th with 101 votes, so vote away! Also CryptoDashboard.com now supports STV!

The opportunity to become the digital currency of the mj sector is right in front of us, and together we can make it happen. We plan to become the most trusted and valuable coin for the mj crypto sector. We are currently trying to ensure longevity by reaching out to many merchants and services. The results have been very positive and since our takeover, STV has been accepted by a growing list of businesses from crypto to mj. We are working on an official roadmap and will release those details soon.
