What I am thinking is making little plastic leaf coins with private keys on the going to like cannabis cup and handing them out, in a little packet with a card attached to it stating what they do, how to use them and the donation % for use.

Think people would first love the little leaf coin, two love the thought of helping the cause while spending the money, and third it need a anon factor.

I know exactly how to get mass adoption as well  Wink. Might take a little funding, with boots on the ground so to say. But I know what gets people interested and how to do it.

If we had a consortium of sorts we could set-up a slush fund to gain mass adoption around all maryj type coins. Maybe, multi-sig the funds this way people feel safe knowing it isn't be siphoned off for peoples own personal use. Just thinking it out.

A consortium is definitely needed; a legal entity with the possibility to gain, possess and use funds.

I've invited some powerful forces to the thread - I'm sure concrete solutions are just few blocks away...

Hi Altcoin.Center. I have seen you taking over quite a few coins. Would you please post a video introducing yourself so that your identity could be verified. After all, you are asking for a lot of trust from people. Thanks.

Yes, it is indeed slightly unusual approach we've taken and I'll be happy to provide you any and all prove you need of my existence.

I don't have a video readily available for you now though, and since I've been up for about 48 hours hectically setting our systems up, I'm not exactly in the condition to record one right now. I will make one within the next 48 hours though. Wink

My PoD test is finished and I'm just waiting for CryptoAsian to publish the results.

Meanwhile, feel free to google me up. You'll find quite a bunch of stuff including my phone number. If you feel like it, give me a call any time. My full name is Jyri Hovila and I've been in the IT / security business for over 15 years so Google results will be plentiful.

Yours,

Jyri

POD is for developers who want to remain anonymous and pay cryptoasian to hide their identity. If you are open to the public, what is the point of doing a POD?

Just post a video here. That would be way better than any POD in my opinion.

cryptoasian is a scammer. it was a quality scam but most people have figured out that it's a scam. I can't believe people fell for it. I never did. You're anonymous unless you make videos and a bio. BTW cryptoasian had to change his name to proofofdev.com since people know he is a scammer.

I would love to see https://hemp.cash be open to all the marijuana coins!

I don't quite see how he would be a scammer. The PoD process was clear and thorough and the report he put out matches the facts.

As for me, I'm far from anonymous. I've revealed my name, my face and even my phone numbers in several occasions here at Bitcointalk. Anyone can google me and see that I've been around for quite some time. There are news articles about me and my previous doings that can also be found using Google.

I do understand the need for credibility and transparency, and I do know that the many pump & dump operations and similar the coin scene has seen have eaten the trust. Even so, decent manners and good behavior should always prevail. It's just not ok to just start calling people scammers and questioning the credibility of those who who are actually trying to increase the transparency, revealing their true identities in a scene where most people choose to remain anonymous.

I would love to see https://hemp.cash be open to all the marijuana coins!

That would indeed be a great thing. Must contact them ASAP.

A quick status update on the 420 Alliance project.

Thanks to both thanksgiving and the overall amount of work basically all coin developers and their teams have, discussions have not yet proceeded much further than you can see by reading through this thread.

There has been some exchange of thoughts and comments in some of the coin threads of course.

Right now I believe most are pondering upon the initiative by themselves and between their teams, not rushing anywhere but instead thinking things through thoroughly before forming definitive opinions - which is exactly the kind of approach that is needed.

While this initiative may seem like a huge thing, and while it does indeed contain the potential for significant increase of stability and credibility among the whole crypto scene, in itself it's merely a proposal for increased level of communication and co-operation between coin teams - nothing more.

I'm not expecting to see any radical changes in the coins themselves, and as I explained in one of the first posts I made in this thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=874423.msg9666686#msg9666686), the idea is that participating in the initiative does not mean the coins or the projects around them would be "merged" into anything in any way - even if some of them would choose to implement things such as merged mining.

The whole proposition came pretty much out of the blue and just before the thanksgiving, so it will take a moment before the discussion truly gets going. I'll be calling out for the dev teams during the upcoming weekend, asking their preliminary thoughts.

Thank you so much for the support and the offering!

Yes, your skills would be very much needed indeed!

I'm under a huge workload here but will contact you privately ASAP. You could also send me a PM reminder.

I did notice there's something going on but am unaware of the details.

I asked about it from CannabisCoin developers (their thread is moderated so couldn't ask it there) but I have not had any response. Neither have they replied to the request to join in this discussion.

I also asked about what's going on in the CNN thread but got no comments.

Time for some diplomacy, it seems. I'm working on it.

Jyri, u are a crack!! amazing how you show that you have nothing to hide. In all my time in crypto I have not seen anyone reveal the identity of the way they have done. Of course you have silenced anyone with doubts about who you are. It can be challenging work ( it either) but this act is +100. congratulations.  Smiley

Hehe, well thank you! Wink

I thought it might be a bit overkill but then again I really don't have anything to hide, and I do understand the doubts since the scene has seen so much (too much) all sorts of scamming attempts.

Things are progressing even though updates may still be sparse for a while - I'm involved in a bunch of projects and have to keep juggling my priorities on a daily and even hourly basis. Right now issue #1 is to get the Altcoin.Center addnode seed network running steadily. This will take me a day or two, after which I can again fully focus on the 420 Alliance Initiative.

Has anyone figure out a way for all the marijuana coins to work together? I can't figure out any possible way.

I'm confident the dev teams of each coin will be interested as soon as the draft for the exact details of the 420 Alliance Initiative can be presented to them. It will benefit everyone without demanding anything from anyone, so there's really no reason why not to participate.

Of course, if some of the teams decides not to partake then they won't be pushed in any way.

DopeCoin crew has had some discussions about the initiative, and their attitude is positively curious.

I have been in touch with the THC (aka Hempcoin) devs before and although we have not had the chance to discuss the initiative yet, I'm sure they'll be if nothing else at least willing to have a chat.

Cannacoin team is also very positive and forward looking, and although I can't know what their decision will be, I'm sure they too will be happy to at least sit down for a joint discussion.

Cannabiscoin team has been in some sort of war with the Cannacoin team and I have not yet had any response from them, so their take on this is more or less an open question for now.

As for Sativa, CannabisDarkcoin and Ganjacoin - they've all been taken over by Altcoin.Center and will therefore most definitely be participating in the initiative. It will greatly boost their credibility and value without requiring any sacrifices whatsoever.

I'm looking forward to the first online IRC meeting between all the teams! The past week has been full of action and I think everyone needs to take a little breath. We'll be going through all the teams next week, agreeing on a date and time for the first meeting to take place.
