I have been both spending bitcoins and earning them with my work. I never traded on exchanges and never "invested". I never bought shitcoins; I received once some litecoins but I dropped them last summer, after realizing that they are useless as long as you have bitcoins.

Over the last year I've had anywhere from 0-150 BTC in my possession. Lucky for me, I sold all my BTC at 600+ so right now I only have 0. I never spent one satoshi on anything. I have been scammed, but I see at as an cost of opportunity. Most of my btc was made through investing in other projects. It sucks, but getting scammed is par for the course if you want to trade crypto.

One of the many reasons why bitcoin doesn't get too much attention. Bitcoin is somewhat designed to be a money that should be spent. Most of the bitcoiners treat bitcoin as a stock or as an investment, and treat it less than money. If only bitcoiners treat bitcoin as money, that might even help the adoption rate go up.

And where are you working?) But if you earning a bitcoin you must to exchange it? Or you spend them online? But unfortunately you cant buy all what you need by bitcoin... So you must exchange them?

Maybe he's referring to a different exchange. You know, altcoins to bitcoins and vice-versa. I never bought shitcoins That might help.

Since I am self-employed, sometimes I manage to get paid in bitcoins. I usually spend as much as I get, I don't think I have more than 10 BTC in my wallets.
