Bitcoin got over $1,000 because of 2 bots, Willy and Markus that were implanted in MTGOX. What you are seeing now is referred to in financial terms as a technical correction. I followed Bitcoin daily chart and it closed under the support, which is a sign for further selling. I will keep on eye on the weekly chart but it doesn't look good so far, at last in my opinion.

Anyone who actually believes that the Willy bot was the sole reason for the 3rd or 4th enormous rally in bitcoin doesn't deserve to be taken seriously, let alone listened to.

The price in 2015 would definitely go up, but it would be hard to predict to what level.
With increasing adoption, we can hopefully come back to over 600$ by the end of middle of next year.

I hope Chege be between $ 800.00 and $ 1,000.00.
But a little hard to believe, and probably will continue as is, ranging between $ 350.00 and $ 400.00
let's wait and see what awaits us

Hi everyone,

I saw a few predictions for Bitcoin price in 2015. This is one of the things that caught my attention. They predict Bitcoin will reach $89 but I couldn't really understand why:

https://www.ddmarkets.com/bitcoin-forecast-2015-note-the-bearish-flag

Also, where do you think Bitcoin is heading? Down the drain or sky high?

Well I think it will remain higher than $89 dollars
If there were some gripes with Bitcoin development that would be the reason for the price going down there though
Aka Blockchain 2.0 smoked bitcoin because are developers couldn't get their thinking cap straight
Otherwise we should be going up to 1000 sometime in 2015

Guys, there has been an update on this Bitcoin forecast for 2015. It says this bearish flag was confirmed, which means Bitcoin should reach $89 in the next few months. They said Bitcoin will go down when it was $375 and now its almost $335.  https://www.ddmarkets.com/bitcoin-forecast-2015-note-the-bearish-flag/

puhleeez. There are more factors than charts, global news plays a huge roll on bitcoin, adoption by companies does too. We will probably all take a hit, then eventually in 2015 the market will rebound and actually be a market, compared to the exponential prices in 2013.

Technical analysis covers the global news, google technical analysis if you will see what I mean. About 2013, these gains were caused by 2 bots called Willy and Markus. If you didn't know about them before, google will give plenty of info.

I think the bitcoin price in the middle of 2015 will be at least ~ $550 - 700 , but most probably it will near the 500 dollars.I think also we will not see the 1'000 dollars at least until the next block reward halving = 25 BTC >> 12.5 BTC .

Maybe the price will raise also when  paypal , amazon , google , etc.... will accept him directly without use bitPay but whit the use of their payment processor (  I will hope they use this scheme: 70 % convert to the  FIAT  value and the remaining 30 % hodl or use them with the other company accept it).

I don't think that merchant acceptance on its own will be a driver of price change in a positive direction - at least it hasn't been so far this past year.

I do think it's a huge step towards acceptance and strengthening of the infrastructure which will allow actual values that high, instead of over-inflated pumps to that level like we saw in 11/13

The quote below highlights the change in sentiment since last January. The thread is full of people's January predictions for what the price would be now (a year later).

$1000 is a given.

$1500 is likely.

$2000 is a goal.

Edit: I'm not saying $2000 is very unlikely, just that I'd be very pleased to see it.
