so a shout out to the legends testing please try the killer delta  fan and over clock the unit.

I would love to see the user's show the over clock potential.  maybe a better fan for the under clock guy like my self.  for that matter maybe someone would use the super powerful monster delta fan for over clock .  it moves 25 percent more air then the stock fan.  mr teal is really handy with gear.

this is the fastest fan around.  would be the best for over clocking maybe??

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835213001&cm_re=delta_fan_120mm-_-35-213-001-_-Product
Depending the application, the 210CFM QFR1212GHE will actually move more air than the 240CFM AFB1212GHE. Like a lot of fans tailored to moving air without restriction they have a shelf on their pressure-airflow curve, and once you get to around 0.5"H20 they quickly lose any advantage they have over a fan designed to really push air. The downside is the QFR is louder, spins faster and uses more power.

No what you want is the PFC1212DE-PWM or PFB1212UHE-F00 (if you want non PWM without a connector)

Dimensions:   120 x 120 x 38 mm
Power Leads Length:   300 mm
Rated Voltage:   12 V DC
Operating Voltage:   8.0 to 13.2 V DC
Input Current:   4.00 A
Input Power:   48.00 W
Speed:   7160 RPM
Max. Airflow:   252.85 CFM
7.160 m^3/min
Max. Air Pressure:   1.412 IN H2O
35.877 mmH2O
Noise:   66.5 dBA

Problem with the SP20 is it uses a custom header plug onto the controller card. Shouldn't be a problem for you chaps handy with a soldering iron though.

I have a pile of the TFC1212DE's which are the same fan, and I find them a bit of a waste. If you look at the datasheet, you'll see the same shelf I was describing with the AFB. Compare that with the QFR1212GHE where the P-Q curve is actually convex.
At around 14mmH20 the PFB is at 150CFM, while the QFR is a little lower but similar. From there the curves are pretty similar with a slight advantage to the PFB, but not one that justifies its more than twice as high power consumption.

The biggest benefit to the PFB1212 is you can get them used on eBay for a couple bucks each.

Yes but whats interesting here is the requirement is more of a case fan than of a heatsink fan or radiator fan, because the fan isn't facing a lot of restriction its just pulling air through the case and out the end.

They use a YS Tech FD1238UB Waterproof fan.

CFM is only 212 but its got a very mechanical noise to it.

I've been trying other fans with less noise but have yet to beat it for cooling. Got a few more fans coming in the next few days to test though.

You probably have a lot more sitting on shelves Smiley

I love that Spondoolies-Tech are doing something like this, they are literally giving something directly to the bitcoin community.

May be a while for my Legendary status but im happy with the 2 SP20s i have already.

Thanks Ognasty for your help.

Although after careful consideration I have let the OP know that I am declining the free unit due to my own time constraints during and around the holiday season.

I appreciate the gesture and will not forget it. You sir stand out from the crowd in the way you appear to do business with allowing reviews of your hardware free of charge.

Currently now there is ONE more available slot for a legendary member given I am declining the unit.

Aloha,

Smoothie
