I really think that philipma1957 deserves one. His post count is in the range of Legendary's and he has done a lot to promote the SP20 for you guys already. If there is an exception to be made I think this is the one.

Hey! Be a man! Be a man! Do the right thing! I give you best price. For the Legendary among us it's $149.99. We can use escrow

Yeah, only wimps use 1500W or lesser power supplies!

Seriously though an AX1200i is more than enough to run an SP20 at 1.6 TH/s.

Trying to decide if a LEPA 1600 with its crappy rails will run this, or if I should use a 1200AXi and run @ 1.6TH.
i personally would avoid the LEPA like the plague since its multi rails..... Read as if one of the rails powering a blade fails it could overload the other connector and make smoke

Using two 750W's Corsair PSU on this baby when it comes. Hopefully that'll be enough for some testing (i.e. overclocking Wink

2x Cx750m?  I ask b/c it seems the flat power cables they ship with seem larger gauge and better able to handle higher currents than the sleeved ones

Welp, I skimped and got the sleeved ones. I think it shouldn't be that much of a difference, would it?

wow someone in my corner.  thanks,

I finished my how low can you go testing this morning.

Seems that an underclock to 1200-1225 is stable  this means 2 will work on the evga 1600 p2 or evga 1600 g2  with under 1350 watts.

which means a USA 15 amp circuit can run two of them under the safety number of watts 1440 is the derated number.

Sooo on the low end 650-675 watts at 1225 is pretty easy .

Hint 2 cheaper psus on one circuit  allow for  more then 2400gh

No real difference just definitely keep an eye on cable temps if you overclock the crap out of it by pushing the cable watts past about 250/per in the config ui on the miner

No difference, they're both 18AWG on 750Ms. Only the CX1000s and nearby are 16AWG. I use 2x 750Ms without problem on an SP20, cable temps will not be a problem.

Did you change the voltage also?  is this possible?  Is there another thread listing clocking options?

the S3's give you a voltage change option, but it did not change the wattage draw.

edit:  I will be reviewing the SP20 and I want to be able to put it thru it's paces.

I have a 10 page thread  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=872014.0

I can clock as low as  1200gh about 650 watts at the kwatt metere  and as high as 1710 gh 1280 watts at the kwatt meter

question.
these reviews will be on their own separate threads right?

if they all go on one thread, it'll be a tad cluttered and I hope they are on separate threads so that they can remain independent.

The only reason I wrote this is because of what I have read in the site and your activity is already 854

Legendary:   Activity: the Legendary membergroup has no universal activity requirement.
You are guaranteed to become Legendary somewhere between 775 and 1030 activity,
but the exact point in this range at which you become Legendary is random per user.

I'm not sure separate threads would be a good idea - there's already about 5 SP20 threads and another 10 is going to annoy the admins. Heck, even 5 is more than other products are usually allowed before things start getting merged.

but each review is bound to be different, so merging them would cause slight confusion to anyone asking questions or giving remarks.
the way i see it, it's not entirely a marketing ploy as these miners are selling well, more of a thank you gift to those who have been in the mining game since days of yore so I don't see an issue with having separate review threads. Perhaps the Admins should consider making child boards for each manufacturer. within the hardware section? It's not as though forum space is a concern - look at the funds which have been donated to the forum (don't get me started lol)

The OP says "The only condition is to post the review, including pictures, under a new thread under Mining -> Hardware, within 3 days of receiving the hardware."

I guess a new thread is asked of here. *camps in front of pc waiting for tracking number*
