It is in DHCP mode, log into your ADSL router and look at DHCP clients.

Looking forward to reading your thoughts about it.  I'm not familiar with how these things are run, but it sounds like they have an interface you access via IP similar to a CoinTerra miner?

Thanks guys, but I'm trying to connect this to a workspace network that requires me to add the MAC address of it to work, and I don't see it despite being being connected to the same network. (probably because the router rejects its connection). I tried connecting the LAN cable to my laptop directly, but I can't seem to find it either.... any ideas?

Give this a try using windows built in DHCP

well, your laptop won't give it an IP address if it is not running a DHCP server,

but maybe you can try to

ping the broadcast address of the network your laptop lives in, something like:

ping 192.168.1.255

then issue a

arp -a

which should show you the arp table and, maybe, the mac address of your miner.

Otherwise, install wireshark and with it running and capturing, connect the sp20 and power it on, it should try to find a DHCP server and you should be able to see its mac address.

well, your laptop won't give it an IP address if it is not running a DHCP server,

Nah, no access to that. I was wondering if it will give a login page if I manage to find its IP? I found (what I think is) its MAC address using wireshark, and have given it access to the network, but none of the IP's seem to give any access at all to the control interface. myminer.io is empty as always...
