While this was way cool of SPT to do it is a little annoying to have sooooooooo many SP20 reviews cluttering up the hardware section.  I think most of those reviews unless specifically bumped will fall quickly out of view.  I think it would have been better to have SPT officially start an "SP20 LEGENDARY Review thread".  Have all 10 of the legendaries (who are jacked up after receiving free yummies) in one nice big circle jerk of a thread!!

I'm always surprised by the modding rules here, if this was almost any other forum all those threads would have been merged my the mods any ways.  Oh well it truly is like Deadwood round these parts!

Gratz guys enjoy your new toys  Grin

nice----    real nice

now if you have the sound covered
say a barn in the winter time

you could run 45. = under 24000 usd

wire it  220volts  200amps = 44kwatts x .8 =   35k watts for miners  45 miners x 800 watts = 36 kwatts. and 63th

use 2000 watt sever psu's   25 of them.  at 100 each with break out boards  = 2500 usd

so 26500 usd  some odds and ends

you could have it up and running for under  30,000 usd  =  63th   with a 35 kwatt power use  = .555 a watt

Mine was waiting for me when I got home today. I haven't done much but plug it in; it'll let it run overnight and see how it looks.
Baring catastrophe, I'll take it apart, get the soldering iron out, and write up a little review.

I have been able to test in single digit cold in Celsius this week.   The miner has preformed perfect and here is a review with it mining in the cold- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=896656

I have to say this has become my favorite miner with the testing and doing a review.  Thanks Spondoolies for treating me as amazing online as you did in person at the North American Bitcoin Conference in Chicago.

I should have done a little more thanks for the chance.  Thank you Guy and the rest of the Spondoolies team. Was a great opportunity to do this and was fun.

I am a decent sized hobby miner.  And have a little of a wide variety of miners (A1 and newer gear at this point).   Not only has the SP20 hardware won me over, but the support of Spondoolies team did aswell.

The equipment it is just very well thought out.   For one it just works, I have 2 SP20's and had no issues with them.  From someone who had been dealing elsewhere with dead water pumps on miners, and another buying a controller board.  I cannot explain how much just working is a breath of fresh air.

I won't go on a long rant.  Just thank you Spondoolies and I look forward to future purchases from you.

Mine got delayed in shipping. I will review it as soon as I can get my hands on it.

EDIT:  Called FedEx to see why my package is still in Israel.  They said there is a "customs strike" that is holding up packages.   It may be a while before I get my hands on the SP20.   Cry

Looks like the strike has ended!  Hoping to get my SP20 on Saturday.

EDIT:  I guess the strike may not be over, but they re-routed my SP20 through Germany.  Hopefully I get it early next week.

EDIT:  Now it's in France!  I may end up with the most traveled SP20 ever!

12/19/14 EDIT:  It has hit the US!  Sitting in Tennessee waiting to be shipped across the States to it's new home.

so the only way i have been able to get mine to work is by connecting it to my laptop with a network bridge and a dhcp server running on the bridge. Thats not something i can have running all the time.

i purchased another router and am using that to bridge my wireless connections, and have that connect the miner to its LAN slots - this does not work with the routers DHCP enabled or disabled.

I tried a network bridge on my raspberry pi - this did not work either

I tried using the devices onboard usb slot with a wifi dongle, didnt work.

No idea what to do, im going to keep messing with the router I purchased though

Can you sniff with wireshark the router and SP20 DHCP negotiation?

Ok, it will wait to our support on Sunday.
See if the router has DHCP related parameters and if so, try to tweak them.

If it is just DHCP you are having trouble with have you tried setting a static IP? It is under Settings - Network settings.    Make sure to use proper information for your network or it will be unreachable.

A static ip on what, my router - my secondary router that is acting as a bridge between my first routers wifi and the ethernet that is connecting the to the miner, or the miner?
