There are people in the slack willing to sell it to you and who you can trust. I do suggest that you do it multiple transaction though, like 5% each time to be sure. The community is small, so we know who is trustworthy and who is not.

No, they actually buy it for you on the Bittrex exchange, super convenient if you are waiting for an account and want it now. For coins with more exchanges, it also allows for choosing the lowest price it seems. Looks like a pretty cool project. Currently Bitcoin to vTorrent is not supported by CoinSwitch means that they don't have the supply in stock themselves I guess since popular coins offer the option to buy directly from CoinSwitch.

Thanks, that's nice to know. I've never used such services, as I like doing stuff myself, but I definitely agree it could be useful to many, especially now when registrations are suspended in many exchanges, and even for existing users of who want anonymity and don't wish to pass verification. I suppose CoinSwitch doesn't require verification by itself. Does it?

I am not sure about needing verification. What doesn't work is Ethereum to vTorrent for example, because Coinswitch doesn't have actual vTorrent in stock themselves. So you can only use the BTC to VTR option which is fine for people who purely want VTR and don't have a way to get into Bittrex.

My client doesn't seem to synchronize, stuck at 78%, even though i have 6-7 network connections. I use 0.8.2.1 RC4. does any one have any ideas to make it synch?

Also tried 0.8.1.1 but no nodes for that one
