We need some site where trades can be automated, these late updates are killing all the interest for the game. Maybe if we gather some donations for the software someone can write quick PHP script to enter trades and display the leaderboard?

I have started writing a 100% automated version 2.0 of this game. I would like to get some input on a few changes I'd like to make.

• Eliminate the 8 hours between trades which allows a more realistic capital management/preservation
• Trade as often as you'd like. No manual updates means it no longer matters if there are hundreds of trades per week, but with a .1% "spread" fee per trade. This slows excessive trigger happiness.
• It will be a stand alone site with score sheet, a near real time price (about 10 second updates), and trading right from the page with immediate calculations and additions.
• New player would be able to see their name on the scoreboard within minutes if not immediately

This also eliminates the possibility of "cheating" caused by the removal of posted trades between updates.

No cookies and no emails needed, but that also means no PW retrieval. So don't forget it!!

That would be great! But .1% "spread fee" wouldn't slow my "excessive trigger happiness", maybe .2% for each buy and sell?

haha, well I'm open to this and other collaboration on a good "fee" so that it's not excessively high, but also deters some flipflopping.

Also, 0.2% costs per trade sounds right (I don't know about futures market, but it's tough to spend less than that in Bitfinex/Kraken/Bitstamp.

I was playing around with the test page last night and .2% seems adequate enough. If someone keeps hammering the trade button with no change to the index price, it is a noticeable change every time, and you will feel you did something you shouldn't

I appreciate the offer, but I already had one for a few days now. I will post some screen shots to get players frothing when I'm back to my pc later.

Just a quick update..
I am still working on the simulator. It should be ready in a week or two. I had a lull for about two weeks that I had no time to code, but the last few days have been very productive. I hope to have it ready in the first week of September. I haven't decided yet if I will open it up as a test for a week or two to make sure everything works as expected or not. The testing I've done on xampp has been very promising so it may not be necessary. we'll see...

BTW, I lied about the no cookies part. I do have to have a session cookie for flow control, but it expires upon closing the browser, so whatever. It has .2% "fees" and a bit of js, so I hope no one is offended by some fluff on the UI. It makes it mo betta.
