Sell 10 USD of bitcoins if I have any.  I cannot read this chart in Opera.  Still holding dollars now.  Is it time to buy?  I will wait for it to come down again.

Coinsbank: Left money in their costodial wallet for my signature.  Then they kept the money.

man, didn't saw this rally coming... :/

I did Greece Crisis and Chinese Leverage
Alas we don't have a LTC trading simulator or I would have been shorting so hard yesterday and probably would have bought some Litecoins 2 weeks ago haha anyways HODLLLL ^^

As for the change from bitcoinaverage to coindesk:
I'll try to post a message about that on every page from now until D-Day and will send everyone a message with their situation once D-day happened
(i.e.: i'll send people who are in BTC that they need to start using the coindesk price and people who are in fiat that they need to do one final trade on bitcoinaverage and after that on coindesk. these people will be marked on the scoreboard, probably a blue color or something)

so, the day of the switch over is july 15. The opening post will be changed on that day as well.

People can always check all trades, so DON'T CHEAT.
(on bitcoinaverage, we could only go back 24 hours in time)
Roger that a toleration range of +-5 mins might be needed to account for the time between posting etc.
That said looks good to me.

hmm, 5 min is a lot... You only need to post "BUY @ ..." or "SELL @ ..."
What I do is open the window to post and just type "BUY @" and fill in when you feel like it's time to do so Smiley
I think a 2 min tolerance back in time is possible, more isn't.

I was being generous but your right +- 2 mins is more than enough time to react
Just wanted to account for slightly different time measurements in the coindesk api and that of the server although that's probally a minor concern

hummm if I sell I'll be probably top3 again, but not for long if the bulls decide to overrun the 300 barrier.

hehe its a game of chicken being in the top 6 right now. any winner will put you in the lead but you could be left a long way down the scoreboard if you get left behind.

I'm looking at if the price stops at the 00 or if it passes it based on momentum with a +-2 day target
Been more less in the range of 1-5 spot for quite some time the only difference now is that of those not in cash there are only 2 people with a slightly higher BTC balance than I have from when we closed positions the last time it moved significantly

True but unlike Litecoins 50% 1 day drop i'm not pissing in my boots yet at this pace Cheesy

new page, so I report this:
Quote
Switch from BAV (Bitcoin averagere) to BPI (coindesk) on july 15
Hi!
We decided that we want to use the more accurate Bitcoin Price Index published at coindesk in stead of the Bitcoinaverage.com quote.

Why:
*historical data for checking trades
*bitcoinaverage includes the volatile localbitcoins, making the rate less reliable
*having less confusion about which rate to take from the website.

How?
before july 15, everybody keeps using the BAV price as explained in the opening post.
On july 15, everyone who has a BTC balance, will start using the BPI price publsihed at coindesk (see below)
If your balance is in fiat on july 15th, your next (BUY) trade will be using the BAV price. After that, you start using the BPI.
(this eliminates possible arbitraging profits by selling before we make the switch)

Practical:
To make the transition as smooth as possible, your balance will be colored in blue on the scoreboard until you buy at BAV price.
The scoreboard will publish the coindesk price, but remember, those exchange rate is only indicative. You ALWAYS need to check the current rate at the website. Don't rely on the rate published on the scoreboard, because this only refreshes once every hour.
the coindesk BPI can be found here: http://www.coindesk.com/price/
Printscreen:

In this example, we use 269.34 USD, NOT the 24h price (269.08 USD)

It's very tempting to try and bet on a correction to ~280 here but I'm too scared the price is going to explode big time very soon. I've already burned myself by selling at $277 earlier, even though there was a correction to $263 afterwards I sadly waited too long to buy back and take the profit. Not gonna make the same mistake twice, I can feel the bulls' silent rage and once they start stomping it's too late to run. Tongue LTC went up 400% in a short period of time, while BTC only went up like 20-25% in the same time period so far... not saying BTC will do +400% as well but 100-200% is definitely possible imo. Don't wanna miss out on that. Grin

same. Although I won't FOMO now, I will buy > 300 or < 250. I still think <250 can happen next week.
