Yea I felt extremely stupid for selling already minutes after making the post. 8 Hour rule fucked me up big time.

Don't try to catch every little move--this market is so jagged that you'll get killed in the whipsaws. Surf the big waves. Once you catch a good one set a stop loss and let it ride. Move the stop up as the trend plays itself out. If the trend goes against you, your stop is hit and you profit. If the trend goes to the moon you profit even more. Win-win.

.... I think that the 8h rule is necessary BUT I think to prevent unfair losses due to large unexpected events there could be a penalty option of perhaps 2% more or less that could be fined for posting within 8hr. The player would have to declare it or it would be considered cheating.

I think 4h would be enough to prevent trade-spamming and reduces pure momentum trading adequately. It's only a proposal. I can live with the 8h, too, but sometimes this timeframe is too long to trade the smaller waves...

...penalties? Well, there we talk about two different things. I don't want to get a penalty for trading (a bit) faster.

I also like the 8h rule, would be completely different trading without it. This way it makes people find real trend changes instead of pursuing small price change opportunities.
