Unitus-Blake P2Pool Beta

I have a small blake p2pool network up and running now, and am mining with a slightly modified version of the cgminer that was built for blakecoin.

Any & all blake miners are welcome to jump in.

Please see http://redd.it/2r8k16 for more information.

If this is you - UiXTV5nqKz9sNKH87JzkcpiQeyHsZZnG8c - You're submitting invalid shares. You MUST use the modified cgminer - not the standard blakecoin version.

Thanks.

I use the modified miner from your link - UYjLH9zP3upkSnUqNFnh2bimZTFe35fkAT

Updated OP with link to new Blake p2pools, modified blake miner, and Atomic-Trade exchange link.

Myriadcoin - the first multi-PoW blockchain! (Mine with SHA256 [ASICs], Scrypt [GPU/ASICs], Skein [GPUs], Groestl [GPUs], OR Qubit [CPUs/GPUs]).

Payout direct to your wallet at each block. will appear as a mined transaction, just like solo mining.

workers - you can use same address for multiple workers, or split them up (sometimes best to split to keep a track of individual hashrates / stale rates etc). Passwords make no difference at all - p2pool doesn't need a password, but the mining applications do.

More chance in a pool, always.

Do the maths (some numbers I just took to calculate):

268 GH/s network hashrate, p2pool has 5.91 GH/s = 2.2% of network
288 blocks per day for Blake (300s per block, 12 per hour = 288 per day).
P2Pool with 2.2% of hashrate equals 6.336 blocks per day. 24 hours / 6.336 = 3.78 hours per block.

If you decrease your hashrate (i.e. go solo), your chance of finding a block goes lower. Yes, the (solo) payout is higher, but you get fewer of them.

I am using Qubit, not sure if it is the best but seems to be very low power. Putting together some old rigs for it actually, I like the idea of getting Myriad and Unitus. Never know, some 51% invincible POW coin could be valuable someday.

Is the source going to be released?  The only current working version of CGminer is compiled for Windows?

Since getting into Cryptocurrency I've had many bags, all but two have varied over time.  Those are the two I see in the mirror where my eyes once shone.

Yes, the source will be made available soon (within the next 12-18 hours). Until then, if you are using windows then you MUST use the modified version available at https://unitus.info/files/cgminer-blake256.zip

This one works amazingly well, and if you can use a wallet and follow the directions, pretty simple to set up as well. P2Pool, so fair, fast, overall impressed. I tried it with Scrypt and not worth it, but Qubit, yes, I think so.

Maybe I am a little slow but can someone tell me why in the OP there are two pools listed in the x11 merge mining but on the site they look like multipool's since there are only certain payout options available? Isn't the idea of merge mining that you mine multiple coins with the option to keep these coins and be paid it it's own wallet? Or am I blind and I missed these options on each pool.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink
