Well, lets look at it this way.  BTC isn't supposed to end until 2140, so maybe we should contribute to the fact that it is supporting a continuance of the world; at the very least it is giving 'us' time to set up our rigs and mine.  Good can and will be done during the next 130 years. 

I think the fact that BTC is projected to last another 100 or so years signifies that it isn't a sign of the end of times (global currency etc).  While it's very dangerous spiritual lines, it's fun to think about at the very least.
