1KATWALSHTHECuz5DFHoNqJax6hnDbL6KN  (I can sign with it if you want)

Any vanity pubkeys category? If so, I win:

0200000000000000000000003b78ce563f89a0ed9414f5aa28ad0d96d6795f9c63

14 letters Shocked what are you searching with?

and uh... what exactly is KATWALSHTHECuz?  It's not the longest pronounceable or the longest real-word (not that I can see anyway - is it English or another language?)  Maybe a different category?

KATWALSH must pe the guy's nickname or something...

Greg Maxwell's hidden identity is revealed -> https://twitter.com/mindspillage

Im not really here, its just your imagination.
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Ah ha!  So is Greg is making vanity addresses for his cousin Kat?  Or is "cousin Kat" actually Greg's secret identity?  Excellent detective work Wink

I just found 1LimeLightHA2NqDu5hxu1RN9c78qiL97V (blockchain). So far the longest real word with the right case I have found Smiley
Brute-force on my i3 CPU! 50% chance in 200 years, so I'm quite happy with it, even though I don't have a direct use for it.

Some recent finds of mine:

Code:

1BruJoLoKozkJmSktkYUhxZiwj8R7ShaED
1Nineteen5e6n12cMKfh7ostQryHFU8f4R
12345Six7mt5pQj2myySM1aM61mjsEFReJ
1DeLoreancLYehy6CVnFE326GkZC5Pm8EG
1GLowWormJjKbcnPBW5qNnNRXKBYjzNWDq
1EighteenDPybnq2LhcnneBBo7qArD9aUt

The first one BruJoLoKo is on the list of part private keys, but this one was found quicker without the part private key.

It's called vanity address, you can make one by yourself and it's pretty easy.
You don't need to make it many times to get good result because you can make as you want to.

But, make vanity address require big computing power.
Longer vanity address means more times to make it.

Make up a list of one or even two hundred wallets you'd like to find (that way the really long one's won't seem to take as long when you find some along the way)...

And, if you get Delta Errors, you're using AMD cards.

Good luck and keep us posted how you go.

Nice to know some rare addresses unearthed.
Also good to know majority of them are from members of this forum.

It will look better if each of the members signs here with those addresses and add a link to the OP.

what is the use of this?
proof of failure?

I guess Proof of hard work.

I guess Proof of hard work.

I've created quite a few vanity wallets more for the sake of having been able to than to use in every day life.  I'm not inclined to add all I've done to an active wallet just a create a signature.  Perhaps for ten numerals and or digits after the one might be do able, or if someone out of the blue has great luck in finding a thirteen on a PC's CPU that should have taken them 200 years ... (probably a few weeks on a GPU) If it's really stunning we could ask for a signature.  I feel less than ten isn't really warranted.

Since my last post of wallets above I've come up with this

1CubitBSGWwd9UfrSGneUrEf6Y7Rta7H4e

but I'm not wanting to use it at all.

But ask away, people might.

No one is asking for donations here.  This is to show work that has been created.

at 28Mk/s I can create 1BiGHit9X in a couple of weeks ( 15.2 days to get to 50% ) - less time if I use the -i for case insensitive. (22.7 hours to reach 50%)

Roughly half of those time if I use both cards.

OK?

this is the point you mean, i guess:
you can post what ever valid address, but do you have the private key to use those coins?
all odd ones are random. no privkeys to use coins sitting there.

I just found 1LimeLightHA2NqDu5hxu1RN9c78qiL97V (blockchain).
Update: right after depositing 100 mBTC to it, I messed up Sad Being tired doesn't help....
I accidentally pasted the private key instead of the public key into Google and blockchain.info search field. Too bad, I liked how rare this address is, now I can't use it anymore.
