This is discrimintation!  I demand 1AnusAnusAnusAnusAnusAnusAnrqqary be in the list.  Just because I don't have the private key for it doesn't mean it's not worthy!

New record coming up. Made a large compilation of all 11 letter through 15 plus letter words in the English dictionary. Searching for all of them at a time. Of course though, some words overlap.

11 letter English word found Smiley

Pattern: 1ANNUNCiATED
Address: 1ANNuNCiAtEd6WM7trY2AExbEThSu5YNJu

Record broke by a factor of 50x

For reference:

https://blockchain.info/search/df6c06cf11b17a95660bd72ce6a00a79873479814496c9d5ed9b724e4cb3665d (whenever it gets in the chain, I really don't know how long it's going to take. I attempted several times to send myself a small micro amount and it's just taking forever to get confirmations. I don't know if it goes in order or whatever, but the transactions are going one by one, only one gets confirmations at a time. Either way, it will be up there soon in the next few hours)

Oh, here's a signature of it, maybe that will prove it faster Smiley

The "for reference" should show the non-caps sensitive time (-i switch) though.

I was going to say but he found the exact match, and then looked closer and spotted the lowercase u, t and d.

Damn, a match on a 10,000 year estimate would have been impressive!

I quite like mine, I should really donate it to Mike Hearn (creator of bitcoinj) but I'm not sure he'd trust me not to keep the private key, also the address has a lot of old taint on it.

Nice, you're not the first one with it like that, but definitely cool.

Introducing a new category of oddities: unusually short addresses. There are extremely rare.

Example:

Code:
111JBiUzfCz8zcehARF9DBhd7D8wsEWG        (32-character address - owner: flatfly)
12345678901234567890123456789012

Proof of ownership:

Message:
This rare address is only 32 characters long.

Signature:
HOMVCVk1NnskQUUIP4fYrWnf3uIMcJ6InKS/2TiKsuC7KE9EyK78TvSTMX2n9IDew7VD0KJPBXSdzdxzJdulLuc=

This rare address is only 32 characters long.

Not so rare..

Addresses shorter than 33 characters will start with one or more "1"s. A leading 1 in a Bitcoin address represents a direct encoding of a leading 00h byte in the underlying hash. The reason all Bitcoin addresses start with 1 is because the network ID byte of Bitcoin is 00.

I just made some 32 character addresses:
Address:
11111PXVCnuZsHwrHTn3ukmsadDEfzxs
111114YNgH3Pkj8dgZ3zP7DLC4jHzNQz
11111enRSTZqB4Y77sa9rWMKzANNxbCw

Damn! Then I guess the search for the 31-character address is on...
