I got this one here: 1PEACEKpHSeXYwwHL6478HbNTuueoR3znB

It is actually quiete handy since you can easily find it on mempool.space since there are only 2 other 1PEACE addresses that were used at some point.

Why since the beginning of 2021, many large transactions have been sent to 111111111111111111114oLvT2?

Those are all OP_RETURN transactions what essentially means that the coins are burned (can never be used again because they are stuck). This is used by some services that give you alt coins if you burn bitcoins. This is done so the alt coin will have a high price, since people can only get it if they burn an equal amount of bitcoin for it. (To me that is completely retarded)

1. I know that the private key from this address is unknown, so coins sent to it are considered burned. I wonder who has been doing this in the last 2 years, about 20 000-30 000 dollars a day.
2. What is "OP_RETURN transactions" ? Even if we assume that someone knows the private key from this address, he will not be able to spend the coins?

don't (!) confuse this. Not having a private key does not mean that this address is a Proof-Of-Burn address with burnt money.

Latter is achieved only by the OP_RETURN script code which provable makes the amount unspendable and thus the money is burnt for ever. That is handled by bitcoins' blockchain protocol.

So, I found this transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/f9ae08bebf14e1f2244a69ac00a7e120232203434777949c20223f4728f56c76

There's a 33 character all-uppercase-except-the-leading-one address in there, but I have no idea who owns it. It's spent from there, so it's legit. Also three other 34 character all-uppercase-except-the-leading-one addresses.

I've generated one of these of my own, with some custom software that's quite a bit faster than vanitygen:

bitcoin-cli verifymessage 1JUSKLPYCNLCTSBVHUNENXBBZWGPXUSUXY HzoAya5Ggj9PfyIDt8jmstYssl+Iae1hXZiI9oj0DzFHAtXFqsRFzWBVzJkVoGXBh9CNEulEXuTEUgJAUzAecTE= 'controlled by ryanc'

Expect something fun in the next few weeks. :-)

I'm also wondering why my 1Boyishness address got removed. AFAIK, it's still the longest word prefix that's not mixed case.

Lol...

I know this is an old/unforgotten thread, but I was digging through an older hard drive and found these addresses that I found years ago.

how rare is those types? and how did you generate them because that seems strange it would just happen by accident.

I'm really not sure...I will let the curve/math experts chime in on this one.

Probably not that rare...just hard to generate?

I used a mod of VanSearch.

hold my beer....

1 in every 333 billion addresses fits this pattern assuming all base58 characters are equally likely to appear in a bitcoin address and that the bitcoin address has a length of 29 characters (some have more some have less but on average they have about 30 including the leading 1).

Some quick math tells me that the odds of a 34-character address generated at random being all caps is about (24/58)33, or 1 in 400,000,000,000,000. Very rare.

However, it is relatively trivial to generate such addresses if you don't require the private keys. All you do is generate addresses that start with all caps and keep the ones whose checksums also result in all caps. The odds of any address having a checksum with all caps is about (24/58)5.5, or about 1 in 124.

I don't understand. What is strange about a vanity address that contains uppercase letters only? Me, myself I have created a vanity address with lowercase-letters only for my personal use, so I don't see anything fancy or strange here.

Others have posted their All CAPS addies, why didn't you say this before ("I don't see anything fancy or strange here")?

No one mentioned fancy or strange.

I have as well except I did mine with all manual calculations. All lower case is easy to find, even manually. So I would say all lowercase is much easier.
Here are 5 I found, manually, since your post. Yes, I have the private keys to these as well.

Maybe if you change the algorithm to only produce an address with lowercase characters? I like to see a hash 160, public key and a private key for at least one of them. @WP, pretty please.🥰
