The ideal thing would have been to ask people that want to withdraw to withdraw. You dont just go offline for maintenance with my btc still inside and not tell me before u do so. Why cant u guys call a spade a spade. I dont care how good or how bad he is. I just care about my money. You dont keep my money idle for  days like that.

Actually I understand your concern and worries, it is easy for people to say that hey keep calm and it is natural but when it happens with us its a big issue.

I think going offline is not a big issue but they should have informed users first and then done the same, because updates and maintenance is not something that is mandatory and that forces owner to block or freeze user's payments.

Hopefully he will also find out how the attacker actually managed to do what he did. Luckily the loss wasn't any bigger than that.

This is because you have multiple accounts under same email, I had that problem too. As far as I know Dean is working to fix it. You can also email him I think, that's how he sorted it out for me.

It depends when you played.  If you didn't have a balance or investment before dec 31st 2014 then your account would not have been imported.

It depends when you played.  If you didn't have a balance or investment before dec 31st 2014 then your account would not have been imported.

Maybe because if there were investments, there was a chance that BetKing wouldn't cover the loss and instead make the investors pay for it? I doubt that would happen though.

He probably thought that investments would be stored in one place and the hacker would be able to steal them all. Now just imagine if it worked like that

I would say that Investors may got scared in the first place, and BetKing *may* have lost some of its trust.

But second and most important, back in the days that investments were up, allowing max profit of 256 BTC, I'm sure that the hot wallet would contain a much bigger amount than 18 coins only, since high rollers/high stakes like to withdraw immediately big amounts, rather than waiting.

But the result, would probably be the same, meaning that Dean would need to cover those lost funds out of his own pocket (unless it was a huge amount maybe)
