People are buying up as much as they can so they can start staking.

Proof-of-work mining will END soon, at block 14400, and that won't take long at the rate it's going.

After that, you'll have to hold coins to earn coins.  Expect a buying frenzy leading up to the end of POW.

14400?  What happened to "POW Last Block 60480"?

The last Proof of Work block is approximately 42 days but since there is so much interest it might happen somewhere in the 35 day mark (lots of blocks and hashrate pushes up the block times a bit). Also now that Proof of Stake has kicked in, Proof of Stake will account for approximately 75-80% of all Blocks mined.

Also I have been studying the effects of Proof of Stake and price and by the metrics, this is a pretty good reward system.

The coin launched 7 days ago, and it's already past block 10,000.

Maybe the difficulty is adjusted A LOT, but 14,400 doesn't seem that far away.

According to my wallet blockchain update, over 1000 blocks have been mined in the past 12 hours.

EDIT - looks like muddafudda pushed POW back to 60480, obviously because of unexpected mining participation.

POS starts at block 14400 and reading the dbug last night is active but being blocked by the code. Should hopefully be a smooth transition to low power mining.

But the price will still skyrocket in anticipation of POS, just like CLAMS and BALLS and HYP.  Except this coin isn't giving away ridiculous amount of stake, so there won't be enough dumping to ruin the coin.  And giving it another 2 weeks before POS will probably allow a lot more people to hear about it and get excited.

1 Minute Block time equals 1440 Blocks per Day

60480 / 1440 = 42

The Answer is 42

That is the answer, but what is the question?  We're 7 days in, so that leaves 35 days until proof of work ends.

So...that was the question you were answering?

There you go Melech, you wanted to know "What happened to 60480" and Crestington says "The answer is 42".  Hope that clears things up.

It doesn't matter if everyone knows that the answer is 42, if nobody knows the question.

Cryptsy will not add as we update things to quickly. When it breaks it should be minimum 1 week response time, 1 week to find the dev, 3 weeks to patch it. We take a few hours.
