I completely removed it, I am recompiling now. If that doesn't get me anywhere I will give the router reset a go. Thanks for the suggestions.

Steady staking Is there a cap on number of coins that can be mined? Will the blocks ever half or anything? What will be the total number of coins?

Gr
It depends how much coins you stake, so if you stake 10 000 or 1 000 000 is not the same, if you split in smaller groups/blocks depend what is the right high of that block, for smaller you will wait much more, and again depend how much all coins you are staking, so you can not calculate in % In staking is more important your weight vs. network weight

I don't know how I feel about that image as well. Let's remove it before we go too far down the rabbit whole and get a negative label.

Steady staking Is there a cap on number of coins that can be mined? Will the blocks ever half or anything? What will be the total number of coins? Does anyone know this? This has been discussed in the thread. 1440 blocks per day at 1000 coins per block. 50B maximum. No halving.

I heard something like 50billions, read somewhere but its not clear yet. I am not confident on that number. We will have a code review and necessary changes from our community member in coming days. Dev hasnt been online since yesterday so im letting you all guys know we in irc are talking about creating website and do some promotion about this coin in coming days and we will shortly setup a donation address if anyone like to donate for the development and keep moving. This is going to be a community effort in full. If you were in irc yesterday you probably knew already dev was trying to push wallet update yesterday and because something didnt work while on update, dev revert changes in his code. You can see that changes in bitbean git if you wanna look for yourself, since then we havent heard anything from dev and still waiting.

I can review the code for the coin total, that's relatively simple. I'm pretty sure it's 50B though, without taking a deeper look.

So, I got my wallet working, send some BitBean there, and this morning it was staking. I found a Block and was awarded 1000 BitBean, cool. Without having done anything, a few hours later I get the message that I am not staking because I don't have any mature coins. Is this normal, do my coins that were staking become immature once the mining proceeds confirm, or did something go wrong? Thanks.

May be your all balance is in staking and not in spendable balance? join irc #bitbean and ask there you ll get quick reply from helpful people

I want to be clear and straightforward with everyone regarding the state of BitBean.
YES, the dev has abandoned us it appears. He tried to push an update two days ago, which had a checkpoint that had already passed, along with other issues.
This update would have caused multiple forks in the network.
The Dev did push revert changes to github to fix the issue and go back to the previous version.
As of that point, he has not responded to any messages, and has removed himself from the coin.
I will be updating more later today as I discuss some things with a few other community members and we decide a full course of action.
If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a PM or hit me up on IRC
Thanks
Tuwie
