That has nothing to do with Bitcoin. Those investors probably deserved it. There are no insane returns like that in the real world.

That's not really a fair comparison. Gold is a commodity and does not have the ability to facilitate crime. Bitcoin does.

Any commodity can be used to pay for crime but Bitcoin is custom tailored to facilitate an international criminal enterprise like Silk Road. That's one of the pluses of Bitcoin. Try buying guns or drugs that are 5000 miles away with gold.
