Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

You guys must be oblivious to the huge scamming he has been part of in this forum last year or atleast his scamming track record in the "real world".

Why on earth would you send any money to him?

FYI:

It's quoted here (http://buybitcoin.com/home/) that 100 USD is the minimum ? Perhaps it doesn't apply to cash in mail ?

How does Priority Mail work, I could imagine the cost of sending the letter itself was just as much as the amount of dollar bills (USD 5) inside it ?

I mailed him payment for bitcoin at $5 for Priority Mail.

(attempted delivery on Saturday)

Then it says it was Delivered at 9:11 AM  on Monday the 9th

Bruce says he has not received the package and if I ask him any questions about it he will not do business with me again and that he will resend the order IF IT arrives

I called the Post Office and they confirmed that the package was delivered on Monday the 9th at 9:11 AM

----------------------------------

So after a lengthy conversation about me sending him too many mails he says I need to wait 7 days... EVEN THOUGH I PAID PRIORITY?Huh

Looking for some answers here. I told him Im not afraid to go to the police and he says Im threatenng him; WHILE IT SAYS HE HAS BEEN HOLDING MY CASH SINCE MONDAY 9th 9:11 AM!!!

If I recall correctly, there are actual warrants out for his arrest, which is why he took flight to Japan. I'm surprised that he would be back in New York.

And frankly, just so the Google crawlers pick it up eventually, I'll state it plainly: if Bruce Wagner is running Buybitcoin.com, then I'd personally consider it a scam and wouldn't dare do business with the site.

To the OP: Sorry for your bad luck in running across that site (of all of the bitcoin sources out there now, sheesh.)

Bitcoin is the ultimate freedom test. It tells you who is giving lip service and who genuinely believes in it.

I have no idea whether Bruce has scammed you or not.

However, I have shipped thousands of Priority packages, and that delivery confirmation shit is not as reliable as I would like. Sometimes stuff gets accidentally scanned prematurely and shows up as "delivered" 2-3 days before the person receives their package. It's not corrected by whomever screws up, I guess they figure if you really cared you'd have used UPS. So every month or two I get frantic people telling me "you must have sent it to the wrong address!!@# It shows delivered but it's definitely not here!" They usually get it within the next few days.

On the upside for USPS, I've never lost a package inside the US, which is pretty impressive. On the rare occasions people think their package was lost in transit it's almost always their fault - someone else checked the mail and stuck it in a corner, and they come back a week later and apologize.

Best of luck either way.

Yep USPS lied about when it was delivered
