BBQcoin.org bought out from previous owner for a few reasons but the main one is to invest a portion of my own capital into the promotion of this wonderfully stubborn coin.

New thread here for ease of communication and to support community growth.

Same guy -> sockpuppet Wink

I'm confused, is this not the main BBQ coin thread?

Thanks!

Sounds like more dev manipulation to drive the price lower.  You'd be amazed how many devs pull shit like that to drop the price.

Look at CASH.  Down 99% cause the dev started playing hide and seek.  Lol, I'm
Buying some of that and casino.

I think it will pop when the next boom comes this summer.  Bigger than last nov.

Good luck, guys!

Scrypt coins are going to remain ridiculously insecure unless they team up to be merged mined together.

Without merged mining BBQcoin and all other non-merged-mined scrypt coins other than whichever of litecoin or DOGE everyone ends up using as primary coin in their merge are just train wrecks waiting to happen, and since it does not look like litecoin nor DOGE plan to enable themselves to be merged with each other both seem determined to destroy the while scrypt field rather than work together to try to make scrypt a reasonable option.

Now that my other projects have been wrapped up. I am now back full time to work on developing BBQcoin as well as Extremecoin.

BBQcoin has achieved "cult" like status, probably by the fact it is a slight underdog but still has a large following.

Extremecoin, which I developed and released is very popular in China and so I am hoping that I can increase media exposure of these coins by interlinking the websites and possibly form an initial basis for a CryptoCurrency Unification.

The BBQcoin and Extremecoin websites will both be getting a full overhaul and as I have good relations with the BTER exchange of which both these coins are listed, this is going to make promoting them full time much easier.

My other main objective is to get both these coins setup with full time payment processors.

CryptoCurrency is aimed for the moment at the patient type of investor, as it is going to take a long time just for Bitcoins widespread adoption, considering there are still a vast amount of the public unaware of even PayPal.

Thanks

Any active devs on this coin.

BBQ was quite a popular coin last time around so I think there's a nice customer base out there and some name recognition to work with.  Nice niche market too.

Hi there,

I still pay for the hosting for http://www.bbqcoin.org , I just gave BQC time to let the dust settle after BigDuab came charging in with his bbqcoin.com and huge ideas of a foundation etc and happened to do all this right at the time I managed to get BQC from pretty much forgotten to a serious trade coin.

The problem was that I could not develop the coin with him almost attempting a hostile takeover but over a Open Source Crypto-Currency which I found strange.

It turns out that he owns and still owns a restaurant and thought it would help put his business on the map if he took over control of BBQcoin and also accepted it as payment at his restaurant.

As he was promising lots of ideas for the coin and a bright future, I took a back seat and developed my own Crypto-Currency Extremecoin in mid 2013 which I still support today but Bigduab as his "Dev" team produced nothing, dumped their coins and then vanished.

For the last year I have been working pretty much silently, working on a Unification project to bring the Crypto-Currencies that I run the domains for; a combination of coins I have released and also one that got abandoned by the Dev then it was not even a month old, as a way to try and give something back to the community that has given me a vast amount of knowledge / insight, not just about Crypto-Currencies but also trading and a couple of valuable lessons about fairness, honesty and integrity.

I have deliberately not updated the BBQcoin client, as it seems to be running very well as it is and I am a firm believer that Wallet clients should be as simple and straightforward to use as possible.

The basic planned idea is to bring together several Crypto supporting groups so that we can all work together, instead of against each other and see if we can market these coins in a slightly different way to make them stand out again.

Right now I own no BQC at all but I still keep bbqcoin.org running as I see a future for this coin but I have been waiting for the dust to settle from the huge over saturation of coin releases.

The main reason I am posting this, is because I feel over the next few months, the time is going to be right to fully promote this long standing Crypto-Currency, along with a few others, as more community members are getting sick of coins being released, pumped, dumped and then the Devs vanish and the coin gets multi delisted.

I will be posting more in depth information once I have couple of extra domains, a VPS and everything needed running and beta tested.

I might not be the best coding developer for Crypto-Currencies, I look upto the Developers who have released some fantastic coins and I always read through their Source Code for inspiration.

My main quality I believe is to be able to market / promote and organise a Crypto-Currency to be able to achieve its full potential, even when times are hard and the "worth" is low, I never give up; call it stubbornness or sheer perseverance but that is the way I am.

If there still is a support base for BBQcoin, then that is great news and makes everything so much easier, as being an Open Source project, the feedback and suggestions from the community is what matters above all else; all Open Source projects should be run my the people, for the people.

To that end, if anyone has any thoughts regarding BBQcoin and its future, now would be a great start to hear them.

As this thread is very old and Cubox is not currently in the developer scene as it stands, I will be starting an open to all place for future development discussions, support etc and I will be posting the new VPS IP address I am purchasing on here, which will act as a 24/7 seednode.

Thanks for reading.

BBQ was the first coin I mined and traded and Iam very glad that CaptChadd is thinking about taking over it again. He is definetely one of the best coin managers in the Cryptoworld today. Here are some mine suggestions for him about BBQ,EXC, developpment:

1. idea about unification of few "small" coins is excellent.Much better than unification through merge mining with some stronger coin, which proved deadly for smaller coin.Something new, like merge mining between few small coins:

a) random generating of coin which you get in every block,so one time you get BBQ, other time EXC,third time FST...,combined with random generation of block reward. That will expell multipools jump in,jump out, which are one of main disrupting factors,

b) you have one small coin as a main coin - anchor and others are merge mined with it in the random fashion (example - in every block you get BBQ coin as a main coin and randomly others coin - one time EXC,other FST...and so on) and combined with random generation of block reward(Dogecoin merge mining with Litecoin can be used as a basic point software)

2.unification wallet should be levelled up to 0.10 level, because there was a lot of security problems in earlier versions of Bitcoin code.

When you are merging mining of few coins with same strength,it will beneficiary for all of them
