<necrobump>

Everyone seems to have suddenly stopped mining this. I'm winning every block? Huh

At first I thought I had forked, but I restarted and other peers are at the same height I am.

Then I thought it may be something to do with bter freezing BTC withdrawals ( https://bter.com/article/13524 ), but didn't they delist BQC a while ago?

Are there any remaining basic services like an exchange or block explorer for this coin?

Well that's the thing, until a day or two ago there was at least one other miner. I noticed because difficulty suddenly dropped.

Does anyone have the source for this still?  Original github got pulled.

Our team obtained many of the cryptocurrencies that were frozen on Cryptsy's servers when the exchange collapsed. The BBQcoin wallet.dat was among those recovered.

We are now in the process of giving these wallet files back to their respective communities. The wallet has not been inspected and it's unknown if it contains any coins. If you are a developer of this coin, or a longstanding community member, you can file a request for the wallet in this thread: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=3789.0

If the creator of the coin said it's not meant to be traded, or sold/bought, it's meant to be eaten. What's the point of it still being here. I doesn't seem like the dev is currently active here anymore.

Ergo, open source hijacking.

BBQ is now my coin.

See how that works?

Let me who all want to help reboot this classic.

Source from 18th August 2014: http://www.almightycoins.org/download/bbqcoin-master.zip

The source was probably last changed well before this, but it's the date I downloaded the snapshot.

The repo is still online: https://github.com/overware/BBQCoin

It's extremely out of date but I have a node running from the last time I compiled it in late 2014.
