It is dirt cheap right now, not worth dumping.
Time even to start thinking about buying back everything you dumped way cheaper than you dumped it so you can dump it all over again when it goes back up, maybe?

been thinking about this all day...

Yep, I'm not selling any right now. Way too cheap. Worked too hard to get as many as I have to just give them away. Too many people still view it as a joke. I've seen numerous people in the trollbox on btc-e even comment that the coin was just created last week. They have no clue about the history of this coin. Volume has been really low on bter as well, so most people that have them probably feel the same way, and don't want to trade right now.

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th. The Attorney: I would advise you do that. Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor? The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law. 19GpqFsNGP8jS941YYZZjmCSrHwvX3QjiC

Hopefully that will make the profitability sites list it as not profitable to mine, which will make the big miners go away, so all the little miners who keep complaining about not having a chance can come back and mine BBQcoin in peace like they seemingly didn't bother to do last year, so maybe this year there is no excuse for not mining it while mining is easy...

Does anyone know what the private key prefix for this coin is? I cannot seem to calculate it. Based on what I have seen, Bitcoin uses 0x80 (128 in dec), Litecoin uses 0xb0 (176 in dec) and according to https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/List_of_address_prefixes the private key prefix (it uses Y from what I have seen from my testing in private key dumps) Y should correspond to 78 in Dec which is 0x4e. This doesnt seem to work for generation Does anyone know? I am converting bitaddress.org to generate BBQcoin paper wallets, brain wallets etc.

Do you mean the address offset thing that makes the public addresses of some coins start with a different letter or number than other coins?
As I do not know anything about any such thing for private keys.

an example for litecoin is like this 1,"LeMoKJDDXhydpx1qR9dG3Lxtwz7NHP1d7g","6uqD2FrUp4WropA4nUfsKNVyYsUxkXHQLb4q1WVggSjxWjnjbdL" 2,"LWvDq2MiEJv33prGhGh4QhdJcVrpsVb8er","6ufFtr1aEoD2bnDWWUAGLNXo1bJQd8Ts2fDPjSFmEBj5ceJzEUR" 3,"LiZJzFJYqQEK5DRZMtnhfiEMTVPSuEFahc","6ugkY3Pr5US5cYQnkPUaDk8L4EZyT5MYTx8r66bUDupbReLXwgx"
All the public addresses start with L (bbqcoin starts with b) and the private keys start with 6 (bbqcoin starts with Y)

Well maybe the same offset is applied to both the public and the private parts when coding them in those forms. Does the code for other coins that already work apply the same shift or offset ot "and" or addition or whatever it to both parts? If so the value you want is in the header file (in the coin source code) in which the encode and decode routines for base 58 and whatever 160 and so on. -MarkM-

Man...the price on bter has totally gone to shit, I think I've actually managed to lose money for once since I purchased a bunch as it was going down. What's with everyone dumping tons of bbqcoins at super low prices?!

I thinks it just sells by ppls who mine TONS of BBQ when diff was ~1000 times lover (for a long period, not just 1 day or few hours as on last altcoins starts). And it still very profitable for them. But amounts of cheap BBQ is finite...

What could be causing such error if i try solo mine? bbqcoin.conf is standart rpcuser=max rpcpassword=***** rpcport=17185 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 port=19323 server=1 I use official windows client - it work and sync with network just fine But if i add server=1 in conf i got this error immediately (at wallet startup). I try few other rpcport and try turn off firewall for short test - same error(just # of port changes).
