-- No stratum BBQCoin Pools
-- Client download tosses errors about missing dlls for windows
-- Lack of information with respect to the network and block chain
-- Lots of scam sites around  ... Pools not paying out just holding the coin forever ... Even the BBQCoin 'official' site loads some spam site that tries to shove viruses down your throat.

Why are people buying this coin again?

"Client download tosses errors about missing dlls for windows" I have never heard of this problem before, sounds like a machine specific error. "Lack of information with respect to the network and block chain" What information exactly.

*Edit - Working stratum pool http://www.guugll.eu:13327/static/

Yes this is annoying. Captchadd is no longer working on BBQCoin. BBQCoin.org is not the official site. Captchadd has been unwilling to either sell the site or redirect the url appropriately. Redirecting user to bloatware/scamware is ridiculous. You should call CaptChadd out on this directly.

Please let us know what pools are not paying out. I am mining to http://p2pool.bbqcoin.darkgamex.ch:19324/ and my payouts are fine.

Why hasn't this been updated past 0.6.x? I'll do it myself if whoever is acting like a dev doesn't.

I'm going to set up another P2Pool node as well.

This thread seems to be more relevant than ever: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=307923.0

figroll, has an updated Windows build with checkpoints and a few other fixes. It is currently being thoroughly tested. It should drop soon Smiley

Another P2Pool  would be great!

no its still the old crappy BDB variant, just with some fixes from me. also currently we dont have a dev which has some spare time to develop it.

I've used bbqpool.net, and his older pool (bigbbq.cc).  Highly recommended.  No affiliation, just thought I'd throw out some props.

at the moment, it is not worth mining anything.
coins are ALL dropping in value like a turd from a pelicans ass.

I hope everyone believes you and shuts their GPUs down.  It would be nice to have some lower diffs across the alts.

When I am done with my pet project coin I might have some time to fork the current Litecoin source to 'update' BQC. Shoot me a message sometime or on github. I think I posted a comment to a revision you made adding dnsseeds to bbq (user: tspilk)

BBQCoin made it to the circular of Reserve Bank of India (India's Central Bank) which warns about the risk of Virtual currencies.

Man it is taking forever for my instance of BBQcoind to download the blockchain.  Hoping to get a new P2pool server setup in the next few days as it looks like there aren't very many of them around.
