forum is infested. This thread attracts the shills like cowshit attracts flies.
Man, I'm out. Stick your nsa-bitcoin into your behind. I'm done. Goodby

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

How is it called "Satoshi Roundtable" but Satoshi is nowhere to be found? That's really, really suspicious.

They select a Satoshi similar to "The Wicker Man" (2006).

So what? A gathering of the biggest moneymakers in Bitcoin on an expensive to visit island and you can't go. That pisses you off? Even if you were invited you couldn't afford to go so why worry?

The information provided doesn't reflect that as private companies take money from governments all the time.

Why are you so afraid, so paranoid?
They can't force anything that we don't want onto the protocol itself.
You just reject the update --> Bitcoin gets split (Bitcoin civil war) --> Voila - both forks would probably die.

And so it begins.... Grin

An meeting for the "elite of BTC" goes against all that Bitcoin stands for. Now it's unrealistic for everyone to be able to attend the same meeting (nothing would get done) but it is realistic to expect that all info discussed be shared openly with the community.

Exactly my thoughts, but like the bitcoin foundation they don't represent anyone or anything but themselves and their own interests, so let them have their secret little circle jerk clubs.

So what's wrong? Has it suddenly become illegal to meet-up between people with shared interests?
Last Wednesday, I had a private meet-up with a woman in a secret place without anyone knowing anything about it. Those things happen!

Then, there's no secret when the list of participants is public. Note that within the 50 people, I only see the names of 4 women. Not enough.
Did she look like that?

What we want to know about are the conversations that occur off-record, not the reports that they make to maintain some facade of transparency.  Wink
