Hi,
Here are some points for the initial Auction starting price and on what it is based on.
Cost of:1.) 2D graphic designer for initial design of front and rear of the coin
2.) 3D graphic designer to make from a 2D graphic a 3D graphic to see what a coin will look
3.) Produce the minting stamps for backface and frontface
4.) Minting cost
5.) Printing cost
6.) Protective shell for each coin, clear casing
7.) Presentation box, each coin is in black velvet box
8.) Taxes, yes we need to pay taxes on each coin in Switzerland as silver is taxed
9.) Deliver costs from the mint to us
10.) Last but not least the price of 999 fine silver
So the cost of only 100 coins divided by above is roughly 80-90 euros at least, that is the first thing to consider.
Then the 1000WBB starting point is a very fair point for the Auction. 1000WBB are around (give or take) 75USD to 85USD if you take BTC conversion.
And as you all know I have to at least break even. It should not cost me money to sell them. (altough it might)
You can not calculate simply the cost of silver for something like this. Some people collect silver for weight, some for rarity to gain an even higher value.
Then its up to the buyers to research this and they alone can make a decision to bid or not, there are a lot of proof coins out there to do a price research on so I can give some example:
http://www.apmex.com/product/84497/2015-australia-1-oz-silver-lunar-goat-proof 8500 coins minted
http://www.apmex.com/product/87165/2015-w-1-oz-proof-silver-american-eagle-w-box-coa yes even the eagles are expensive created like the WBB silver coin
http://www.apmex.com/product/86217/2015-new-zealand-1-oz-silver-treasures-1-kiwi-proof-box-coa 2500 coins minted
So let's compare it for what it is.
Hopefully this explains the 1000WBB starting point.
