to my knowledge monero was never a top 10 coin. i am very happy to include it on the list if you can show me that it once was in the top 10

dogecoin is still a top 10 so is litecoin and darkcoin escaped the dead list with the pump

rimbit was never alive to begin with, cmc stats filled with fake order on almost unheard of exchange to manipulate cap. same with marinecoin, namecoins been dead for 2 years, auroracoin was another falsely inflated market cap on countrycoin pump, feathercoin only was ever alive because of btc-e, same with terracoin, esp novacoin and also mostly true for ltc- peaked at pump by artforz, keiser, fontas gray, koolio, asic manafacturers and other assorted whales stocking up for an exit and has been on life support in comparison- no innovation there, exchange integration keeping it up there

 freicoin was innovative but hardly ever caught traction, bitshares-pts migrated to bitshares,  karpelescoin joke coin, isracoin country hype..never heard of aphroditecoin, msc got relegated by counterparty which last peaked at medici/smart contract news, crashed hard and has low trade volume, quarkcoin keiser bill shill pump, maxcoin keiser pump, pandacoin wolong pump, bitcoindark jl777 pump, bbqcoin joke coin, reddcoin reddit hype pump..

marinecoin hit number 2 on coinmarketcap, everyone knows coinmarketcap is far from perfect but it has to do.
same with ripple the real coins available to trade is a fraction of the available 30bil listed.  jeds 10bil and the devs billions are "available" but not used to trade, they just sit on a wallet somewhere waiting for the right moment
marinecoin is "only" 97% primined, ripple fully

@picolo i had a dream about that type of coin last night. the "Fibonacci coin" instead of a social security number you get your first private key. you get one coin at birth and it doubles every year for 18-21 years. that way when they are of age they can buy a house or invest in a business, or go to school. the coin production would not be infinite. The coin would be created with 10x current population cap on creation. it would be pre-mined at 5 coins per adult on earth now. there would not be any speculation the coin would have to have a set price upon creation. I would say 500k. 100k per coin. I am just guessing right now.  

First and air drop delivery of a raspberry pi, then education on how to use it and how to mine. then the delivery of the coins. Right now everyone is so caught up on profits the real purpose of the coin is getting lost in the mix. i would hate for any cryptocoin to turn into the Dollar. We need to eliminate the profit based economy. there are people that have the ability to do this.the RPI manufacturer might be willing to do a large donation of devices. of course this is a dream though. Sadly no one would make that type of large donation.

if anyone agrees and wants to help me develop this coin and market it that would be great I am against verichip at birth or ever. i don't want or deserve to be tracked like a cat or dog.

Not sure if it was in the top 10 but I believe LottoShares dropped from a multi-million dollar market cap to a couple thousand when the dev abandoned the project.

The only reason why Marinecoin was able to reach a multi-million dollar market cap was because the coin supply was massively premined to the point where almost all of it was under the dev's control and any small investment could skyrocket the market cap. Solarcoin - with its 99.4% premine, had the same thing going on too:

BitShares-PTS lost value because holders of PTS were rewarded with BTS and shares in various DACs. Once these snapshots have been taken and the sharedrop is over, the PTS naturally lose some of their value.

Mastercoin was overtaken by Counterparty but it's still in the top 20. The market caps of both coins are now closer than ever before since XCP has been declining steadily since the November pump ($20 million to $3.3 million) while MSC has kept most of its value ($1.7 million to $1.3 million) during the same time.
