Check the daily volume. It's 50 bitcoins now. I don't think anyone's gonna be getting much more out of them. I'm surprised it's still being used at all.

To be honest I still can't access my account there. I had 2FA enabled and I lost my phone some time ago. Just griping.

News about 'refunds' ?

would love to get some news about refund of my lost btc there, but i gave up too.
just hope this .......exchange will die and that those people behind it ("the hack") will get what they deserve.

It is fucking astonishing that this exchange is still alive. Last time I checked they had even been (pretending to be) paying interest on bitcoins held in their client accounts...

Don't know though if this is still so, or had been so at all

I can't understand how they survive and people left coins deposited!
I am waiting (from a couple of years!) more than 0,05 btc that I have gained with lot of work Sad
And now they are already open... there is no justice I hope no one will deposit/exchange with this scam exchange.

I guess those who lost their money at Bter can safely forget about it. Just stay away from this exchange in the future. In fact, better stay away from any exchange out there (Bitfinex and Criptsy users would confirm)...

We have take a good lesson from bter and other exchanges that were hacked recently.
But the bter hack was in February 2014 and it has been a while since they don't give back our money, i have a good amount there unfortunately.

In fact, it was in the February of 2015, just a year and a half ago. I was there too, and just before the hack I bought dogecoins. That saved me from losing money at Bter, but if I didn't stop Bitcoin trading altogether soon thereafter, I would have most certainly lost money later at Cryptsy...

Or at Bitfinex if I had been lucky to survive the Cryptsy scam

Yes in 2015, made a mistake above, unfortunately I had dogecoins too but because while I was sleeping the price pumped it got converted to bitcoin.
Then bitcoins were stolen and here we are, still my money in their pocket, don't know if they have an account here but this is not fear.

bter where's my money?

Yeah, exactly where is my fuc*ing money?

Bter should give back at least a token like bitfinex did it (bfx coin) and repay lately.  If not they are only scammers.

Did you really lose money at Bter? If you did, you would have known that what Bitfinex is now trying to do with their surrogate bitcoins had already been tried by Bter before. Needless to say that this didn't work out, and this strategy basically got Bter nowhere...

If you look at balances there is "BTC Pending" (BTC_B) listed, and also this text appears on the page:

"Notice: The previous BTC balance has been moved to BTC-B which will be used as the reference for 100% compensating our user's BTC loss."

I've been paid back about 9% of my "lost" BTC, but I think there's only been the one payment so far, and it's been 18 months since the hack...

I think pretty much the same fate awaits Bitfinex, and they will sink into oblivion and darkness in just about the same time, where even their own shadows will leave them like what eventually happened to Bter. People will shy away from trading there just like they have been avoiding Bter ever since after the hack. So, there is nothing that could help them pay back the stolen money (unless they manage to return it somehow)...

120,000 bitcoins is not something you can easily get away with
