What is Voyacoin?

Voyacoin was created by a few crypto-enthusiasts that have been wanting to develop and improve on the state of the current alt-coin market.
We had a hard time choosing between current algorithms as all had their ups and downs and limited the wide adoption we would like.
That was until Pluck came along (Thanks to Earlz!) and so far seems to bring profitability back into mining and destroys the barriers for wide adoption.
The current development plans are to add features such as AuxPoW (As we see that Pluck will become a high choice in the next coming alt-coins and merged mining will be a big bonus).
Android and Windows Wallets (we are unsure of iOS as Apple store rules are rather strict).
We are also looking into optimizing the CPU miner some more for everyone.

You know it's not the algo that's giving supcoin value, it's the dev behind it. An anon newbie account is not going to cut it.

Wat?

Already the next pluck coin? That was Quick...

Maybe it's an elaborate plan to reduce the nethash of supcoin  Cheesy

Thanks to Earlz for PLUCK, we have seen that it is a great algorithm free of ASIC's etc. Which ensures the fairest distribution compared to many other algorithms.
We hope to lead the development with AuxPoW for future PLUCK coins (as we all know there will be plenty).

We're yet to see if it is an ASIC free algorithm and power consumption will very likely reach the usual levels once the miners will be further optimized.

Yes they would be possible, but they would require large memory caches which cannot be optimized in anyway which would be un profitable and rather expensive.

Wow that was quick lol.

How exactly would merge-mining work with this?

We loved your work so yes may have been a little quick.

Obviously we wouldn't be able to merge-mine with anything else at this stage, but we believe that you were on to something with PLUCK and there will be many other currencies that adopt the algorithm that we could merge mine with them.
