May I ask is the password related to the persons in the locations?

not so much ..... only in the sense that they were mathematicians and in order to get the code, you need to use the 3 virtual coins, apply some maths, and there you go...

Does the order in which we line up the characters from the virtual coins matter? Like the positions of numbers, letters in the password?

Maybe it's some sort of operation between those letter and the binary numbers on the picture.

CB  000
TA  001
CA  100

A = 1 ?
B = 2 ?
C = 3 ?
T = 20 ?

3 2   - 000
20 1  - 001
3 1   - 100

not in the slightest, whichever way round you do it, you get the same answer

At some point I had a thought that maybe only the second clue is used for the result (because of 001), but.. that would be.. too.. evil Smiley

You could work it out using only two virtual coins, but that is just co-incidental and shouldn't be attempted as not all combinations will yield the correct result

Can you confirm that the shaded pairs of letters are correct:  AC; AT; CB because T is pretty unusual to convert?

you would be able to confirm what this means yourself by going through previous posts .... {the pairings are correct}
