I think promoting bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on social media is a good idea but if done in excess it can be harmful. Promoting is one thing and abusing promotion and creating spam is another. Sadly this abuse is making social sites take action against links associated with bitcoin sites. Bitcoin has banned links and referrals already and if we do not provide good quality promotions other social sites will follow suit and start banning promotion altogether. So promote but be careful with the number and the quality of your posts so we can continue to do so.
