Available right now:

MtGox: $0
Paxum: $0
Paypal: $0

BTC Rate: 10% / month (min 5% for early repayments)
Max runtime: 60 days

Cash Rate: ($/€) 7.5% / month (min 5% for early repayments)
Max runtime: no limit

Trusted members only.
Every day overdue 1.5% compounding, excluding possible agreements ahead of time.

I have sold in here ~$7000 in amazon gc. Further I bought 700+ BTC with paypal / paxum. Should be enough reputation to trust me even for paxum / paypal lending.

Quote
There are three ways in general to get a loan:
1) you have reputation: previous loans or long history of deals with other people where the third party sent first and received his money/goods afterwards (loan and reputation need to have ~ equal amounts.)
2) you have some collateral: assets you can transfer easy like asicminer
3) you can convince a "trustworthy" third party to insure your loan.

If you dont have reputation nor collateral nor an insurance you can leave this thread now.

In addition some ID and proof of residence (gas bill / electricity bill / telephone ...) is mandatory. Vouches from trustworthy third partys help...

Already read a couple of times and the story is more than sad. Sad
But the risk of you to disappear or not being able to pay back this loan seems to be pretty high. Im only a student and I cannot afford to lose the money. You should think about selling the car and get a scooter / ebike / bicycle ... or a cheaper car.  Undecided

there is no risk to disappear, I run a small LTC pool and i am in #Bitcoin-OTC almost 24/7

the car was given to me as a gift by my father who got rid of it since he cant afford it anymore ( gas and insurance and tags )
plus it is hard to take a child with you places on a scooter

Have $1000 paypal or paxum to lend denominated in bitcoins or USD, your choice.
Exchange rate is mtgox last asking bid.

Rate: 10% / month minimum
Max: 1 months

Trusted members only.

I have sold in here ~$6000 in amazon gc (check my sig for the thread) and hold right now 300+ BTC with BitcoinMax. Should be enough reputation to trust me.
Who will foot the money transfer fees?  Wink

If he would lend it to me He could take the cost of the paypal fee out of the amount he is lending me and i would still payback the full 1k Or he could just send BTC and i would exchange it and pay all fees myself

Who will foot the money transfer fees?  Wink

I expect the payout to be in BTC so fees only occur once which i will cover with sending as masspayment. Paxum fees shouldnt be an issue with like 50c / transaction, but ill cover those too if you really need those 50c Smiley ...

:/ you said yourself that you are disabled (dont know if this is the political correct term, so please in case ... take it as a problem of my limited english skills and as no insult) so without the opportunity to earn something extra and the possibility of a car accident / engine failure ... the risk is too high. In addition Im no US citizen, so tracking someone down and sueing him is impossible.

Btw considering you are lending the coins and not borrowing coins, I dont think there is any reason for you to provide any evidence of trustworthiness.

Sorry just found it interesting. Wink

Hi Eisenhower,

Just made a payment of 3.77

Mtgox average = 13.23 so $50 / 13.23 = 3.77

Tx Id: 74411a8bd08e7440cec29b513790883f535a7a6cd1af6caa59276ee12b3a1001

This is the interest repayment for this month as agreed.

This now leaves 3 more repayments of $250 on or before 25th Jan, 25th Feb and 25th March as well as the final paypal payment due before end of Jan however will most likely be repaid sooner.

Kind Regards,

Projects

As agreed - I will keep the two loans seperately so $250 is due at end of Feb and $250 due at end of March.
The £960 GBP paypal loan will be 5% monthly with minimum being the interest only, payable on the 4th of each month starting Feb 4th, however any repayments will also go against the capital with interest being recalculated on a montly basis of outstanding balance - however minimum interest as pre agreed will not be less than $45 per month.

Can you give me a better understanding to your system for qualifying  a trusted memeber?

I know i do not qualify due my to my join, date, post count and hours. However I have a few loans that should be complete with in a next couple days, soon giving me succesful paid loans, that it will be the foundation of how i build my reputation. And I see all the most trusted , repsected , and honest guys making a decent consistent profit because of their reputation and just like my grandfather said. Bad news travels twice as fast as good news. So the minute you fuck up its out there quick but its the ones who are always in buisness but not much is heard from them because there not fucking up.

but eventually I would like to try you out but for now im building my reputation but i think what your doing is great.

Would just like to know what your requirements are to be for futre referance

I trust my gut instinct so ...

Im not interested in $10 loans, so I only provide loans to proofen trusted members with a long history of successfull deals / loans of a similar level compared to the loan they request.

There are three ways in general to get a loan:
1) you have reputation: previous loans or long history of deals with other people where the third party sent first and received his money/goods afterwards (loan and reputation need to have ~ equal amounts.)
2) you have some collateral: assets you can transfer easy like btct.co assets for example.
3) you can convince a "trustworthy" thirdparty (like TradeFortress for example) to insure your loan.

If you dont have reputation nor collateral nor an insurance you can leave this thread now.

In addition some ID and proof of residence (gas bill / electricity bill / telephone ...) is mandatory. Vouches from trustworthy thirdpartys help...

Greetings Eisenhower,

For your consideration,
I am requesting a debt consolidation loan

I took out 2 loans totaling ~2.7 the first loan for 0.5 BTC due July 1st when I took out the second I did so with similar terms for 2 BTC to add a 3rd 7950 to my rig but for some reason the first payment is due June 1st even though that loan was made after the first one that had a payment due date of July 1st

Thank you for your time,
Joshua

Im not sure, but 0.1 BTC for 0.05 BTC in return... sounds more like charity than a loan.

In case you meant 0.1BTC and you return 0.05 BTC extra (so total 0.15 BTC), I still have to decline your request.

Do I really have to answer this question EVERY time...

Collateral should be easy to sell for the loans value. So far best are shares @ BTC-CO / Asicminer / ...

Do I really have to answer this question EVERY time...

Collateral should be easy to sell for the loans value. So far best are shares @ BTC-CO / Asicminer / ...

Sorry about that  x.x
I don't have shares. I guess it's okay then. I don't have anything to offer

He needs to be 100% sure that you will be able to pay back the loan and that you wont run off with his money.

I have a secured loan available at BTCJam. I'm using my ASICMINER-PT shares as collateral, the current sell value is 102% of the loan amount. (they keep the shares in escrow).

The return is 2% per month, it's not 10% but is 102% secured!

Something I should be concerned? So far I'm really liking their service, they say the service is free for investors.

I dont like their inflexible model.
I dont like the amount of scammers they attract.
I dont like that accounts there are so anonymous, so scammers can loan themself btc, repay on time and get reputation

I'm in no way related to BTCJam and you are free to like or dislike anything you want, but your comment doesn't sound very rational.

You had access to their source code? Do you have any reasonable reason to not trust them? Anonymous accounts can't rate others, I had to verify myself in order to make a loan listing.

I found their system very useful and the site works pretty well. It's saddening how people is so negative around here.

Start some business/service with some high discount at the beginning, after a couple of month and a history of successfull deals you can derecrease that discount. Another couple of months later you can demand that other people go first. Some deals successfull deals later you can come back here and ask for loans.

The business / service depends on your skills and could be:
designing, coding, btc exchange, ... teaching / answering questions about a subject where you are pro...

good question . seems like there are 4-10 ppl running to every post posted making it harder for newcommers to gain trust or even gest started

  • First of all, this is my thread, so I guess you didnt meant me, because I should be allowed to reply to questions in my own thread...
  • Second, not the "lenders" (I guess those are those 4-10 ppl...) making it harder for newcomers to gain turst or even get stated. The problem are all those third world scammers who already run with $20 becuase its a years income for them. Find some way to kick out all of them and every lender will be happy to give money to people who intend to repay. Im sure you wouldnt risk your own money, to proof other people are legit!
  • Third, loans are not meant to build trust. You start a business, offer a service whatsoever and then after proofing your ability and your will to repay a loan you can come here and ask for a loan.
  • Fourth, lets assume that some of those requests ae indeed legit. So why do they basical only post "I need money"? They dont specify what for, how they intend to repay it, if they have a job, their age, their location and in case they have poor reputation if they have collateral? I mean the first reply in every thread is, "do you have any collateral?" and the typical answer of those is "what do you mean?". That is pretty annoying and if they dont know so far what collateral (which they would after only reading 1 other loan request) they should not complain about those 4-10 people who state the obvious (asking for collateral, say that they wont get a loan with their reputation without collateral, and so on)

I already lost over 1000 BTC to scammers, so dont expect any sympathy!

If you think that this is unfair, you can offer a lending service on your own. "newcomers" will accept high interest rates without problems, so  you can charge them 20% per month or even higher without problems, but dont come to me or anyone else and say "buhu xyz didnt pay me back"

hehe no man i didnt mean u. i ment some other ppl who dont have anything to do with u or the lender. just same ppl jumping from post to post . from subsection to subsection posting things like : dont trust him. he is a scammer . total scam - to ppl who dont have any bad trust feedback or anything.

and not everyone can start a service or something.

i understand fully the reason for colateral and escrows and support what ur saying. maybe not fully the part on how to build trust.

I bought 1.5 BTC from sturle and over 4 BTC face to face with cash from helgjon @ localbitcoins.com does that count as some trust? (dont want to lend money, just asking)

Ignore those, no real lender listen to those bricks. They only want to push their postcount and / or make their name public in the lending section so they can scam later "easier".

and not everyone can start a service or something.

Everyone can. It all depends on your skills. The easiest way is to buy and sell bitcoins... get a good otc rating and when you have a bigger volume no lender has a problem to deal with you.

I hope you dont refer to "laons dont build trust" and I didnt exclude other possibilities from building trust.

Its a start. After verifying those transactions I would trust you with like $50

Ravi had a history with other lenders if I remember right. According to some other thread he got busted for selling drugs and therefore didnt return my money for the last loan.

Nobody ever said that Eisenhower was the most prudent lender around. I recall a few times in the past where he has been burned.

yeah mbt / pirate / BDT ... lost some good amount of money.

How did it come that I have to justify my actions? I dont have any investors and only risk my own cash...

"02nd Feb 2013   IXIslimIXI     300   USD + $15    / 15 "

Im highly interested in a similar loan as the one above. I have collateral and I'm working on insurance. As far as reputation, Im newer to bitcoins than many probably, but I am not a douche scumbag scammer. I know you can't take my word so just tell me what I have to do to get this loan. Im in desperate need for living neccessities i.e., gas, food, cell phone...
I am waiting for 2 big checks soon, one is due from a previous job and will be here on Friday the 20th. I will literally wake up friday and the 1st thing I will do is deposit the check and buy the coins to pay you that morning. I will also buy you a cup of coffee if you ever are in my town lol . Anyways, the other source of funds I have a large mid 4 figure financial aid check on its way in 2nd week of October if all else fails which it surely will not.
Typically I avoid loans like the plague and HATE to be indebt to anyone with a passion, I wouldn't do this unless it was totally desperate for me and my family. I would need exactly until Friday and 3-4 BTC would be sufficient. (5-6 would be better)

For collateral I have OJ Simpson Rookie Card- apprx 40-100 True Religion Jeans which retail at 400$ and I bought for 360 New on Revolve clothing (Billy Super T in some light blue coloration. Very designer and in style, these fetch an easy 2-250 on ebay no problem. I have a fair cond PS3 with 5-10 games, Samsung Galaxy, Ipod Nano 6th gen, the list goes on... For rep I can offer my account on LBC which I've had great history with a few select sellers and buyers. I'm slowly delvving more into the BTCTalk forums so I need to get my posts up I guess lol. I am PMing TradeFortress to inquire as to an insurance option. Thank you. I could possibly pay it off in a few days if something happens and I get a winfall of sorts.

Hi Eisenhower,

I'm currently looking for an investment of $500 or more with an 30% interest rate per 2 months.

I know I'm quite new on the forum but we could meet here in Amsterdam and have a beer or lunch at my expense so you know who you're dealing with.

Please checkout my thread too: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=296512

escrow? After transactions of a value of over 50.000 USD my reputation should be good enough so no escrow is needed, but for those who feel safer using a third party escrow I accept all trustworthy parties as long as you cover the fees involved and I trust the party.
