you forgot to add your addess This way, this quote is worthless, since it will not prove you were the owner of the address, since it was not included... the precise methods are difficult. I'll give it a try right here: 1318nMZrxZKTP5Rb6yKAhkAnwTzN7yzdCL please quote, tyCan this be some fresh adress not carrying any ballances? If there is a ballance on it, the security points at some IP adress which might add some more value to the adress, too. Unless it's been originating from some trade site only. I should really try that PGP thingy.

It is probably not a good idea to post a multisig address that you will potentially have to sign from in the future as signing "from" a multisig address (and verifying such signature) is somewhat of a complex process that most "average" users will not be able to understand. Even if the above was not true, it is a very bad idea to be posting an address that belongs to some exchange as I can tell you with near 100% certainty that the exchange is not going to produce any kind of signed message from the keys associated with that address

quoted. Two in a row with multisig address's and no signing of message. I smell alt possibly here. I highly recomment using a address you can sign from and signing a message, this allows you to test and make sure everything is good. If you have a typo or cannot sign with those BTC address's later on it will do you no good. Steven did a good job of explaining I strongly suggest taking his message to heart.

How to sign a message?!that thread created by shorena explains the process in a very simple way. however it will only teach you how to sign from a normal address with 1 prefix (1c3DH...). not multisig address with 3 prefix (3c3DH...). also, you can't sign a message from an address that you don't control. like, say, addresses from a service/exchange.
