I finally got my hands on a SafePal metal cypher seed board thanks to a recommendation by a very close friend of mine:

https://store.safepal.com/safepal-cypher-seed-board.html

So, I basically want to re-stake my bitcoin address. I feel like doing it with a seed that's on my SafePal will make me feel like a fresh new person!

Few questions:

Is the process any different now that I'm using metal as the medium to keep record of my seed?

The seed generated on my Ledger is the one I'm engraving into the SafePal? I feel like it's yes but just want to clarify.

Has anything changed for this process since the first time I staked here (I think it was a year ago-ish I don't remember).

Thanks a bunch, can't wait to verify.

Vires in numeris.

So, I basically want to re-stake my bitcoin address.
I've done it, but it's also exactly what an account buyer/hacker would do.

The point of staking an address is that you don't feel like a fresh new person....

None of this matters: you sign a message from a staked address, and you keep the private key secure. That's all there is to it, and it's all we as forum users get to see.

So you are saying that It's better to Restake my old address?

EDIT: Nvm, I just double read what you said, and how it's not a huge deal to stake a new address.

Although, the thought of my account getting hacked or sold is gut wrenching lmfao.

Lemme verify and see if I can get it first try xd, I was shit at it last time.

EDIT AGAIN: Dude, Loyce. Wtf is this shit it wont go away and I've left it charging for a hot second now...? I remember reading a while back that ledger nano x is not good, is this why?

There's no need to redo it if it's still secure. If you do it, I'd link to the older one, and sign with both. Make it obvious you still control both addresses when you sign the new one.

So I just realized during troubleshooting the ledger that I destroyed the seed for the wallet I originally staked.

I did it cuz I knew I wouldn't fund it with BTC, as it was just for staking my address on bitcointalk.

I figured, if i destroyed it, no one could ever stake the same address and pretend to be me.

Unfortunately I didn't think to fucking keep it incase I needed to reverify to prove its still me...

I'll just stake a new address and be done with it.

Don't really care if people think it's me or not lol, so long as I don't get banned or anything and my password doesn't get brute forced, I should be ok!

Quick question:

Electrum is giving me the option to extend my 12 word seed that it's giving me. Can I make up 12 more words and press enter then that 24 words is my seed?

You've staked 3 different addresses, both SegWit and native. Those are unlikely to be produced by the same wallet, so you may still have one of them.

Yes. But why? The extension is supposed to be something you can remember.
