There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Hold on, I need BLUR to have a masternode or I will be able to use Crave for a masternode?
CRAVE for masternodes and markets.  Masternode earnings won't be a piece of stake blocks like darkcoin and pow blocks, but an extra tx fee.

How much is the fee, who pays it, and when do they pay it?  Why would I have a masternode instead of just staking for coins?

Masternodes need to be profitable or nobody will run one.
I agree
If the masternodes take 1/2 of the pos rewards + extra tx fees that would be great.
Also the one for the market should take from the pos rewards too.

The developer needs to make them both more profitable than staking by giving them from the pos rewards in addition to their extra benefits. Atleast 1/2 or 2/3 of the pos rewards should be given to them imo.

At first I was in agreement but after looking at what Dev has done in a matter of days, I'm intrigued. This Dev isn't mentioning marketing to Nigeria (BitStake) and he isn't completely incompetent (Intellect Coin)...and he's using masternodes but isn't named Darkcoin (like BitCredit-BCR).

I own a DASH Masternode.... And you should too.

DarkPool daemon available at:

https://github.com/industrialcoinmagic/darkpoold

It is Python, and connects with RPC to crave-qt or craved.  Use --burn command to burn CRAVE for BLUR.

Can use --help command to see available calls.

Run an instance as server:
./darkpoold.py --backend-rpc-password=craverpcpassword --backend-rpc-user=craverpcuser --rpc-password=darkpooldpassword server

Then you can run commands like:
./darkpoold.py --backend-rpc-password=craverpcpassword --backend-rpc-user=craverpcuser --rpc-password=darkpooldpassword burn --source craveaddresstoburncoinsfrom --quantity #ofcrave

I am looking at modifying Boottle which is a client web wallet that you run local and has easy button to turn darkpoold server on and off.  Right now is command line only.

Burn period runs for ~30 days from block 17000.

Can we burn cravecoin now?

how to do this?

just send my cravecoin to this address?

UNSPENDABLE_MAINNET = 'Bs8Haw3nAsWf5hmLfKzc6PMEzcxUGSYjxf'

can i send from Bittrex or only my local wallet

Don't send from Bittrex or exchanges!  You should use the darkpoold client.  It will credit your BLUR to the address you burned the CRAVE from (where the inputs came from - you can see this in Coin Control).

Yes.  It is Python, so its not "compiled".  You need the python dependencies listed in the readme, which you can install using the command described there using pip to pull them all in for you.

If you have several addresses in your wallet, you can send from them individually if you want.

After burning, you don't have to do anything to claim the BLUR.  They are automatically associated to your wallet address/key.  You can use the wallet command with darkpoold (darkpoold <options stuff> wallet) to see all of the addresses in your wallet and what assets are associated to them.

I agree 100%.  Masternodes MUST be profitable otherwise you're going to have none or very few and thus an insecure network.  The promise of masternodes is why I'm here so I hope the dev pulls this off well.  I'm still looking for that viable competitor to Darkcoin to invest heavily in.
