I think the sig. campaign will be banned in the next few months. If someone *make* 20-30 posts per day he will risk to be banned, is that "serious" ? (will this post be considered insubstantial post + sig ad?)

I've seen people wearing Bit-x signature that were making more than 30 posts in one day. For instance one of your posters made 39 posts today and the day hasn't ended yet. Wink
If the quantity was what made crazyearner banned there's more coming.

It is not *my posters*, I am only  "selling my signature space" to bit-x as you are selling yours to coinroyale. If someone is not "free" to make whatever constructive posts he wants then this is not a really forum (take it only as my personal opinion). I am still thinking the staff should ban or try to regulate all the various signature campaigns, that is the unique solution for stop the insubstantial posts for ever.

PS: can you post the username of that user?

By your posters I meant other members of the same campaign. In other words you guys, the Bit-x promoters. I also think that people should be allowed to make as many posts as you want as long as they are on topic and longer than just a few words.
Why would you want the campaigns to be banned? Don't you support capitalism and the rules of supply and demand? They allow Bitcoin businesses to advertise, people to get coins and bring more new users to both this forum and BTC. A win - win situation if you ask me.

I can tell you that ATM he's sitting at 39 posts (made today). Shouldn't be hard to find.  Roll Eyes

Sorry if I seem arrogant, I didn't want.

I don't want all the signature campaigns to be banned, maybe it is better try to regulate them. Yes I support the freedom of advertising whatever someone wants in the signature space (the problem here is that someone is paying me & you for post here in the forum, and this *generate* a lot of insubstantial posts and more spam by a lot of other users).

So if I quote you this post :

This user [Hfleer] has posted 57 posts today  Shocked is he normal?

I fine the entire thread filled with spam and you have created that thread. Sorry but I find it spam as one can just click the report button which isn't that tough but yeah, why they would do it? Making separate posts and reporting each user can help them increase their post count. They think of benefiting with their REPORT posts. The above quoted user also reported that user by making 2 posts.

Edit: If the signature campaigns are banned due to members spamming, then I can say almost all members are trying their best to spam and earn money from that. Sometimes their opinion isn't needed but they simply force it on others especially in the META section.

A single post isn't really going to result in your post count getting boosted. Of course, not all reports get posted in a thread. You highlight users who are explicitly spamming in a post, to ensure that your report doesn't get lost.

It is funny how people think that banning signature campaign will be salvation of this forum and then it won't be any spam. I wish for an experiment like that, let's ban signature campaign for a month and see if off topic section will die, and people will be posting only serious and wise posts in other sections, and not useless and stupid things in overwhelming quantity. And I am little confused as I think that op was banned without apparent reason.

OK so it is necessary to create topics reporting different users and it is all necessary as MOD does not give importance to the REPORT button. I wonder why mainly people who are a part of Signature Campaigns report there. Surprising. May be if they don't find the report button useful, reporting a user via PM would be an option but well leave it.

I can give an example of 10+ forums which do not have any Signature campaigns but have so many spammers who try to make one word posts, hijack selling threads, give useless replies and so on. May be ban those forums would be a great idea to reduce spam from the internet world? Some people spam for free as it's their hobby. Here newbies with any sig campaigns spam as they can't stop themselves.

I can think of a lot of places to that don't run them but have massive amounts of spammers. I f my ban is related to post quantity then I want this reviewing but still I have spoke to bear and how part of it sorted but still with no answer as to why I was banned in the first place and had no response in asking about it.

Guess am not going to get an answer as to why I was banned in the first place. other than the reason stated on my account

You say your 'main' account was banned in the thread title. Does that allude to that you have others? If so, were they enrolled on campaigns or banned as well?

If the quantity was what made crazyearner banned there's more coming.

The time between the posts does not matter, according to one post made by a mod that I read, it matters about the quality of the post.

Of course, making posts quickly between one another is bound to lower the quality of the posts made, but if you can keep up the quality of your posts while posting quickly, it shouldn't be a problem.

Like others have stated, OP's posts are quite substantial IMO.

@OP: Have you tried to ask BadBear or theymos about your ban? I'm sure they will give you an explanation as to why you were banned.

I am still thinking the staff should ban or try to regulate all the various signature campaigns, that is the unique solution for stop the insubstantial posts for ever...

It would definitely be nice to all be Hero and Legendary, but it would be hard to differentiate between users, and scammers could easily create alt accounts with no restrictions.

1-5 Bitcoin I have seen them go for
That seems a fair price to go for that anywhere from 1 to 5 BTC that's some good business then if selling at that rate. I might have to actually look into getting one me other alt accounts actually put up for grabs. Has been on BTC for 6 to 8 months or more about 600 odd posts and maybe more not been on it in a little while. Need to check it out and see what it is upto and maybe get listed.

If it will turn true then he is also a "lier" and he deserved the ban, maybe the problem was that alt account (maybe hacked or something like that). It seems the admin has not replied here in public, perhaps he has contacted him through a PM.

If he got banned for his alts, it would state "ban evasion" as one of the reasons for the ban. I don't think OP got banned for his alts. Like I have said before, OP should contact an admin to find out why exactly he was banned.

No, if one of their alts was banned for spam, all accounts are banned for the same period. Its not ban evasion unless they continue to post outside of meta with another account.

I think that it is actually interesting that you found that specific quote. While at first glance this does sound like a fairly long post, after closer examination, it is really just filled with "jibber jabber"

That seems a fair price
This part of his post is really all that makes sense
to go for that anywhere from 1 to 5 BTC that's some good business then if selling at that rate.
This does not make any sense. It is nothing more then a bunch of words, that repeat the price quoted that heros tend to sell for. The italicized part is a completely different statement, and is really unrelated to the rest of his post.

I might have to actually look into getting one me other alt accounts actually put up for grabs.
I am not sure what exactly he is trying to say here. But it looks like he is trying to say "I might have to actually look into getting me another alt account if one is put up for grabs". However it could mean a number of other things. The grammar of this sentence is horrible, and even my "translation" does not use proper grammar. I think it is fair to say that he was trying to write this sentence as quickly as possible in order to fluff his post.

Has been on BTC for 6 to 8 months or more about 600 odd posts and maybe more not been on it in a little while.
This sentence really does not make any sense. I will break it down in two parts below.
Has been on BTC for 6 to 8 months or more
I think he might be trying to say that he has been involved in bitcoin for 6-8 months or more, but it is really hard to tell. If this is what he is trying to say then I am not sure what this has to do with anything. Other then that this is just random words
about 600 odd posts and maybe more not been on it in a little while.
The crazyearner account has over 2700 posts. He might be trying to say that he would only need to make 600 posts in order to break even in buying a hero account, at the bottom of the quoted range of 1 btc, however even this would be inaccurate as 600 posts times .0013 per post would only work out to .78 BTC. The italicized part is really nothing more then words.

Need to check it out and see what it is upto and maybe get listed.
This appears to be nothing more then gibberish. He might be implying that he will list his account for sale, but this is contrary to what the rest of his post appears to be saying. The underlined part really does not make any sense at all.

Was quoting someone above me about saying they go for x amount as was considering to see my account been as tho got rid of my others I did have a number of accounts on here that where dormant and no longer used., 1 account got given to a friend another exchanged and another 1 sold just after I posted about asking.

Might want to read what I said on it. I was saying it had been on bitcointalk for more than 6 to 8 month and was going to list it for sale.

Need to check it out and see what it is upto.  Meaning to login into it and see what status it has on it meaning what it is upto in terms of status.

I did have others but no longer have as they where passed on and not related or before any of this happened. I have since found out why I had been banned. Is sort of a stupid excuse to ban me for but it is post related and saying am making repeat/summarize of other peoples posts.

So because I post about or very similar to what other people have said I get classed as been repeated or summarize other peoples posts and get banned for it.

Guess I will await my ban to be removed and seriously consider posting elsewhere in future if this is how am to be treated as a member here. If I did not have signature campaign on I bet this would of never happened come to think about it I had been in several other campaigns and never once did this happen in the past. Guessing not liking it when people make more than 30 posts per day. Then again am not going to  argue over it or no doubt get banned for longer.

A question - Are all (detected) alt accounts explicitly banned?
In that case, the only way a person could evade his ban is by creating a fresh account. He would not be able to do it with his existing accounts.
